  • WTF? - w/Kevin A. Phillips - Transcending Conventions of a TBI
Belief, like fear or love, is a force to be understood as we understand the Theory of Relativity and Principles of Uncertainty: phenomenon that determine the course of our lives. Yesterday, my life was headed in one direction. Today, it is headed in another. Yesterday I believed that I would never have done what I did today. These forces that often remake time and space, that can shape and alter who we imagine ourselves to be, begin long before we are born and continue after we perish. Our lives and our choices, like quantum trajectories, are understood moment to moment. At each point of intersection, each encounter suggests a new potential direction. Join us tonight as Kevin and the Marvelous Maggie share some of additional insight on how all boundaries are conventions, waiting to be transcended. Knowing, One may transcend any convention, if only one can first conceive of doing so. Call in LIVE @424.243.9540 or Listen in on BrainInjuryRadio.com.

  • WTF? - w/Kevin A. Phillips - You Got Some Explaining To Do
How many times, since your brain injury, have you been asked, "What were you Thinking?" If you're like me, more times than you care to admit to, but since you're still here; "What's the Big Deal, Right?". LIFE after a Brain Injury brings on a plethora of 'side-effects' that often don't reveal themselves until weeks, months and even years down the road, after the incident. So, how does one with a Brain Injury learn to understand how their brain injury affects them? How does someone with a Brain Injury know they have a brain injury, let alone learn how to manage it? It reminds me of the question: Does a stupid person know they're stupid? On tonights show join Kevin and the Marvelous Maggie as they share their 'Secrets' of creating a FUNctional Relationship in spite of a Brain Injury.

  • WTF? - w/Kevin A. Phillips - The "Ignorance" Factor
The quotation "All men are created equal" has been called an "immortal declaration", and "perhaps [the] single phrase" of the American Revolutionary period with the greatest "continuing importance". However, most people will ignorantly argue this point, often citing things that don't occur until later in LIFE albeit geographical location, opportinities, religous or political beliefs, etc., and negating their feeble attempt to discredit the TRUTH. So 'what' is TRUTH? We are ALL 'ignorant' (to some degree or another) of something!  Join us tonight and discover which 13 Common Things Most are Doing Every Day that reduce their FUNctionality.

Join Kevin tonight as he shares his personal thoughts on TBI Awareness Month.  He will also highlight different organizations and dedicated people of their accomplishments for traumatic brain injury awareness.

  • WTF? - w/Kevin A. Phillips - Illusions of a TBI
For an Illusionist to fool the audience, their deceit must go unseen and to this end they craft an illusion to avert attention from reality. While the audience is entranced, the deceptive act is committed, and for the fool, reality then becomes inexplicably built upon on a lie. That is, until the fool wakes up and recognizes the truth in the fact that he has been duped. (Like "Santa Claus") However, for some maintaining the suspension of disbelief in the illusion, is often more comforting than acknowledging being duped. Join the show tonight to discover the six top illusions most experience with not only  a TBI but with LIFE as well and how you can start seeing things as they truly are: Glorious, Radiant and SPECTACULAR!

  • WTF? - w/Kevin A. Phillips - When is Enough, Enough?
When you adore someone with a Brain Injury and they just can seem to get IT together, when do you get to that point of enough is enough? NEVER! Having been fired from my job in the USMC, a divorce from an amazing woman of almost 10 years and teatering on the edge of committing suicide more times than I care to admit to since acquiring a Traumatic Brain Injury, I have concluded; LIFE is what WE make it (by the thoughts we choose to give our time and attention to). No one makes us think, feel or do anything. We choose. We are the only ones who think, feel or do all that we experience, as a result of our level of understanding (or lack thereof). Tune in tonight as Kevin shares seven things that will enlighten your mind and your LIFE (with or without a TBI).

  • WTF? - w/Kevin A. Phillips - Interview with a TBI TEEN!
Most Parents would prefer no harm come to their children and most will do what they can to curtail it. In the event some harm does come, we're often the first to respond with corrective actions. But what happens when we get a TBI? What happens to the protective instinct with a child with a Brain Injury who has a 'misfire'? LIFE for most teens can be overwhelming as it is, between the public schools sytem, social cliques, stero-types and the unlimited amount of information that gets tossed out there each day.  Join us tonight as we interview a very special and unique TBI THRIVER Teen and what she has learned about creating a more FUNcational LIFE, in spite of her Brain Injury. Call in and listen LIVE @424.243.9540 and share your success or questions. You never know who will be listening and how your question or story can help inspire others.
