Johnson, former Glynn County district attorney, is charged with violation of oath of a public officer and obstruction and hindering police following the murder of Ahmaud Arbery in 2020. Arbery was chased by three white men, then shot and killed in Glynn County. Greg McMichael, his son Travis McMichael, and William “Roddie” Bryan are all serving life sentences after being convicted for his murder. Johnson is accused of using her power as DA to protect two of the men who were eventually convicted. This week, Arbery's mother, members of law enforcement and others gave testimony during the trial.
