Michelle Palmer is a teacher of a Social Justice class at Germantown Friends School’s Upper School, and the Executive Director of Breakthrough of Greater Philadelphia where she works closely with students, faculty and staff on strategic initiatives to advance diversity, equity and inclusion in education.
Sharif El-Mekki is the Founder and CEO of the Center for Black Educator Development, a nonprofit organization with a mission of rebuilding the national Black teacher pipeline, and his school - Mastery Charter Shoemaker, received recognition from Oprah Winfrey, President Obama and the prestigious EPIC award 3 consecutive years for accelerating student achievement levels.
