Sherri Shepherd is an American actress, comedian, author, podcaster, and television presenter. She currently has her own talk show, "Sherri", which has earned multiple accolades, including five Daytime Emmy nominations (for Outstanding Daytime Talk Series Host among others). She is also starring in the new film directed by Tyler Perry, "Straw". This movie is centered around a single mother, whose world unravels in chaos as her day goes from bad to worse to catastrophic as she struggles to care for her ill daughter. Pushed to the brink by a world that seems indifferent to her existence, she’s forced to confront impossible choices in a society that offers her no safety net.

Richard Ashby is a respected literacy advocate, nonprofit executive and transformative leader in the field of library science. He joined Dr. Peterson to discuss the Pennsylvania Black Librarians Caucus June 27th - 30th, and the 2025 Multicultural Book Fair in Philadelphia.
