Kevin Shird is a three-time published author, activist, and lecturer to students. He lectures students on issues, such as substance abuse prevention, education, public health policy, mass incarceration and re-entry after incarceration. Mr. Shird is currently an Associate at the Center for Medical Humanities and Social Medicine at John Hopkins University, where he teaches a class titled “Life and Death in Charm City: Histories of Public Health in Baltimore, 1750 to the present."
He has just released his new book - “A Life for a Life: Poor Choices and Unresolved Trauma Is Killing America," and he joins Dr. Peterson on Evening WURDs to discuss his new book, and mental health & trauma as they relate to violence.
