“Opening Doors” podcast host Rachel Dalinka; guests of the podcast - trial lawyer Jeff Abramowitz, who served a 5 year Federal Prison sentence; and artist and author Kimpedro Rodriguez who battled with addiction and talks about his path to recovery and creativity. “Opening Doors” is a podcast that takes place at Lower Merion High School and features 3 men who share their personal stories of incarceration, redemption and transformation.

They all joined Dr. Peterson to discuss the importance of breaking down stigmas for people coming out of incarceration, the need for job training programs behind the walls so people leave prison with skills to start a career and more!

Dr. Wendell Pritchett is a Professor of Law and Education at the University of Pennsylvania, author, past University of Pennsylvania interim president & dean, and was the Deputy Chief of Staff and Director of Policy for Mayor Nutter. Dr. Pritchett joins Dr. Peterson on Evening WURDs to talk about a recent Philadelphia Inquirer article about a non-profit school called College Unbound to make it easier for adults to finish college, saying - “I call it reparations - to repair a lot of the damage that higher ed has caused."
