Jason Foster, P.E., is the newest Deputy State Highway Engineer, responsible for the Engineering, Traffic Engineering, and Right-Of-Way Divisions. Foster, who chose the field of engineering because he wanted reliable work in West Virginia, is often called in to assist in high profile emergency situations, but recently he has been working behind the scenes to solve longstanding problems and make the WVDOH more efficient.

This week's podcast features Michelle Oxley, New Section Head of the Central Office Reporting Unit, and Jeff Pifer, P.E., Director of the Equipment Division.

Arlie is a Maintenance Assistant in District 10 who leads by example in helping other Districts. He has worked on Medical Access Roads Projects, Special Projects, flood cleanup, pile wall projects, and his attention to detail on even the smallest pothole patching is setting an example for transportation workers statewide.

WVDOH District 8 Maintenance Assistant, Todd Schoonover, knows why the roads are getting smoother in District 8. Todd knows what has changed in the way crews on the ground are working. Todd knows why the interstate bridges along I-79 are no longer pothole ridden. Todd knows why the WVDOH is working together with the State Rail Authority as one WVDOT.
