Residents in an east side Detroit neighborhood are demanding a concrete plant be shut down, after years of complaints about dust, debris, and widespread respiratory issues. The Kronos Concrete plant is located at Conant and East McNichols, in an area that used to be purely residential.
Reverend Sharon Buttry, with the Detroit-Hamtramck Coalition for Advancing Healthy Environments, hopes some new data collected by the county means residents concerns may finally be heard.
