The way you view reality and life, shapes what you believe to be true. Nowadays, truth has become relative to someone's experiences in life because we only trust ourselves. In reality, the truth comes from God.

When Jesus was teaching, he didn't teach belief systems. He taught practices in life. This is how you can know if someone's belief is true. It's when their behavior identifies with what they say.

One thing that Jesus got really mad about, was when the religious leaders of the church didn't live out what they were preaching.

This is something we all can do. We can be sitting in the seat of hypocrisy by not practicing God's word and only listening to it.

When we make it a goal in our lives to live authentically with our words and our actions aligning up to each other. We aren't trying to live up to an unhealthy standard of perfection we try to put on ourselves and others. We are allowing God to work through us by mirroring who he is in our lives.

God’s commands in our lives aren’t meant to burden us. They’re actually meant to bless us. This is what week 2 of UNHINGED teaches us about. God wants us to live in freedom. The only way to do that, is to understand and get a different perspective on the importance of stretching out our hands to Him. It's in obeying his commands for what he is calling each of us to do in our day to day lives.

Our view of God’s commands in our lives, directly affects our own view of God. When we don’t take the time to rest, we aren’t allowing God to refill us and pour into our lives.
