i had a bad flu one day and watched a ContraPoints video and got mesmerized by this one section of her video, and so being in a goofy state of mind, i decided to make a song around it, lol.

just made this for my buddy Jason for some cheap giggles. the dubstep bass was a bit harder to create than you would think considering i started with a Serum preset, but i made a lot of adjustments to it, and after it was all setup the way i wanted with the LFO, i realized i wanted some parts where the LFO stopped, but Smooth wasn't doing anything, so i had to make a second instance of that Serum patch in the track on a separate group chain (Ableton) that has the LFO disabled completely, then made a macro for the volumes of the chains so that i could switch back and forth between the LFO and non-LFO version of the Serum patch, lol...

btw, i used Google Translate to make the text to speech, and if you can't understand half of what she's saying, it's this...

my electronic cover of Staind's Excess Baggage. i'm not sure if Aaron Lewis intentionally played this song in 6/8 but i had to set Ableton to that to make the measures line up better.

since i can't sing to save my life, i decided to do metal screams for the vocals. i whispered the second verse though, seemed boring to just scream the whole song. also, my technique is amateur, so i nearly blew out my voice trying to scream the whole thing, lol.

P.S. i usually create a cheeky image for a lot of my tracks, especially covers, but i was in a dark headspace, so the image will just be blackness.

on and off i was thinking about trying to make a song with only a single note, like for a meme or something. i was inspired by a mix of Tenacious D's One Note Song, and the entire Dubstep sub-genre known as Riddim (lol) and so i decided to do it. btw, the song is 174.61 BPM, which is based on the hertz frequency of F3.

i primarily used F3 but i decided to give myself the freedom to use any octave of the F Note. the "electro bass" that comes in during the end half sounds like there is a lot of movement at times, but there it's still the F Note, i promise, it's just the LFO filters are affecting a lot of different kinds of parameters to affect the tonality, but nothing that is pitch related in or out of Serum is being affected.

btw, since i technically say the "f-word" at certain intervals and the ending, i decided to mark as explicit content, just to cover my butt.

i got a little carried away with the LEET-speak this time i think, lol... the song title is Dead Haus Mewsik, i just replaced the E's with 3's, the A's with 4's, and the S's with 5's. anyways, this was inspired in part by deadmau5, but i obviously deviated quite a bit from how he exactly makes his tracks. i'm not 100% sure if i can call this Tech House in any capacity, so if anyone can tell me if it passes as that or not, i can always remove the tag.

basically, this is a producer's inside joke. the BPM is 666 (though there are automated dips into 333). most of the synth settings use either the numbers 6, 13, or a divisible of those numbers. and there is usage of backwards audio recordings of me saying "pizza rolls" and "join us" pretty CVLT, amirite dude bro fam squad?

7/8 timing, 77BPM. new niche genre concept, 7step. based partially off of modern dubstep, but in a very specific time sig and BPM. also, a lot of synth and effect parameters are set to divisibles of 7, because that's how weird i got with this, lol. this is me taking a break from the typical hip hop and EDM tracks i post a lot.

it's trap or dubstep or something idk man. it was gonna be trap, but maybe it's dubstep. the way i produce this stuff sometimes i feel like i don't stick to the stereotypes hard enough. anyways, late production release of my Jingle Bells remix, hope you think it's cool.
