「For the sake of my brethren and companions,

　I will now say, "Peace be within you."」　Amen.

　Intercessory prayer is important. Prayer for family, relatives, friends, acquaintances, and even national leaders is important because it not only helps each person, but also helps you. "Ecclesiastes 4:11 - Again, if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone?" I once heard a story from someone who slowly descended a winter mountain while carrying their injured friend, and they were both able to reach the foot of the mountain safely. They realized that while they were helping their friend, they were also being kept warm by their friend's body heat.Jesus is always interceding for us.

『私の兄弟　友のために　さあ私は言おう。

　「あなたのうちに平和があるように。」』

　執り成しの祈りは大切です。家族、親戚、友人、知人、そして、国家の指導者までの祈りは、それぞれの人を助けるばかりではなく、自分も助けられるからです。『伝4:11 また、二人が一緒に寝ると温かくなる。一人ではどうして温かくなるだろうか。』冬山で、怪我した友人を抱きかかえながらゆっくりと下山して、無事に麓にたどり着きました。友人を助けているつもりが、実は友人の体温で自分も助けられたのだと述懐している人の話を聞いたことがあります。イエス様は、私たちの為に、いつもとりなしをしておられるのです。

　今日も、隣人の為に祈ることができますように・・・。　

「I was glad when they said to me,

　"Let us go into the house of the Lord."」　Amen.

　At that time, it was customary to make three pilgrimages a year. It was not easy for those who were far from Jerusalem.However, whether they were family, relatives, or acquaintances, someone invited them saying, "Let's go into the house of the Lord." At that time, my heart rejoiced.I can imagine such a scene. “The house of the Lord” refers to the temple. Today, the group of people who believe in Jesus is "the house of God" and "the house of prayer." 　

May the joy of the Lord become my joy today as well.

『「さあ【主】の家に行こう。」

　人々が私にそう言ったとき　私は喜んだ。』

　この当時、年に三回の巡礼が慣習となっていました。エルサレムから遠く離れていた人たちにとっては容易なものではありませんでした。でも、家族なのか、親戚なのか、知人なのか分かりませんが、誰かが「主の家に行こう」と、誘ったのです。その時、心が喜んだのです。そんな情景が浮かんできます。「主の家」は神殿を指します。今では、イエス様を信じる群れが「神の家」であり、「祈りの家」なのです。　

　今日も、主の喜びが我が喜びとなりますように・・・。　

「The Lord shall preserve your going out and your coming in

　From this time forth, and even forevermore.」　Amen.　

　The title of Psalm 121 is "A Song of Ascents." God will protect us on both the outward and return journeys of our pilgrimage to Jerusalem. What a sense of security! Expanding further, we can have faith that we will be protected "wherever we go and wherever we lodge". In other words, now, as we advance toward heaven, we too can walk proudly with the assurance that "God will protect us wherever we go and wherever we return."

『【主】はあなたを　行くにも帰るにも

　今よりとこしえまでも守られる。』

　詩篇１２１篇のタイトルは「都上りの歌」となっています。エルサレムへの巡礼の往路も復路も神様が守ってくださる。何という安心感なんでしょう。更に拡大して、「どこに行くにも、どこに宿っても」守られるという信仰が芽生えるのです。翻って今、天国へと進む私たちも「神様が行くにも帰るにも守ってくださる」という保証を握って、堂々と歩んでいけるのです。

　今日も、主と共に歩むことができますように・・・。　

「The sun shall not strike you by day,

　Nor the moon by night.」　Amen.

　The sun by day was thought to cause heatstroke, and the moon by night to cause epilepsy and fevers. Those who are in God's protection will not be struck by day or night. And so, "Psalm 91:10 No evil shall befall you,Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling" This is the faith that is given to us. However, moving during the day is not an act of courage, but barbarism.

　May you spend today in the Lord's protection.

『昼も　日があなたを打つことはなく

　夜も　月があなたを打つことはない。』

　昼の太陽は、熱射病の原因となり、夜の月は、てんかんや熱病を引き起こすと考えられていました。神様の守りの中にある者は、昼も夜も打たれることはない。そして、「詩91:10 わざわいはあなたに降りかからず疫病もあなたの天幕に近づかない。」という信仰が与えられるのです。だからと言って、昼間に移動するのは、勇気ある行動ではなく、蛮勇なのです。

　今日も、主の守りの中で過ごされますように・・・。

「He will not allow your foot to be moved;

　He who keeps you will not slumber.」　Amen.

It is said that those who trust God will have the following protection. God never sleeps and protects us. He protects us from all dangers. He protects us both when we are outside and when we are at home. He protects us from both external attacks and internal anxieties. He strengthens our spirits, bodies, and souls, keeps our feet firmly on our feet, and keeps us from faltering at any time.

May today be another day of trusting in the Lord.

『主は　あなたの足をよろけさせず

　あなたを守る方は　まどろむこともない。』

　神様を信頼する者には、次のような守りがあると言われるのです。神様は眠ることなく守ってくださる。あらゆる危険から守ってくださる。外にいる時も家に居る時も守ってくださる。外にある攻撃からも内にある不安からも守ってくださる。私たちの霊肉魂を強くし、私たちの足をしっかりと立たせ、どんなときにもよろめかないようにしてくださるのです。

　今日も、主に信頼する一日となりますように・・・。
