「In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.」 Amen.

Happy new year 2023! This is the first delivery of the year. Thank you for continuing to read. It begins in the same verse each year and condenses God's view of the universe and life. I think the day when everyone can go to the moon is coming soon. We may feel God's existence closer than we feel on earth. The ubiquitous God is inside us as well as in the universe.

May you look up at God, who is everywhere today as well.

ヨハネの福音書　15:16

『あなたがたがわたしを選んだのではなく、わたしがあなたがたを選び、あなたがたを任命しました。それは、あなたがたが行って実を結び、その実が残るようになるため、また、あなたがたがわたしの名によって父に求めるものをすべて、父が与えてくださるようになるためです。』

改めまして、２０２３年明けましておめでとうございます。

小羊の里キリスト教会も、バーチャル教会として始まったのが、メルマガの初配信が１９９９年１０月でした。だから、２３年前になります。そして、リアル教会が始まったのが、２０１９年９月でした。ここまで守られてきたことを感謝したいと思います。今日の本文を見ると、ここに人生の目的が端的に語られています。

『あなたがたがわたしを選んだのではなく、わたしがあなたがたを選び、あなたがたを任命しました。それは、あなたがたが行って実を結び、その実が残るようになるため、また、あなたがたがわたしの名によって父に求めるものをすべて、父が与えてくださるようになるためです。』

私たちは、誰一人として自分の意志で生まれた人はいません。創造主なる神様に選ばれたんです。私たちは、神様に選ばれ、任命され、すべてが与えられているのです。つまり、生かされているのです。そうすると、生きている限り、目標は創造主なる神様なのです。今まで、財産や名誉や地位や権力に目が奪われていたのですが、そのすべてが損と思えるようになったということです。

・・・・。

「終わりに、兄弟たち。喜びなさい。完全な者になりなさい。慰めを受けなさい。一つ心になりなさい。平和を保ちなさい。

そうすれば、愛と平和の神はあなたがたとともにいてくださいます。」

　今年も神様が共にいてくださり、私たちを励まし、慰めて下さいました。この神様はいつまでも変わらない神様ですので、来年も私たちと共にいてくださいます。この一年神様に守られてみことばを配信できたことを感謝します。主イエス・キリストの恵み、神の愛、聖霊の交わりが、あなたがたすべてとともにありますように・・・。

The Lord God has been with us, encouraging and comforting us throughout the year. 

The Lord our God is the one who will never change, naturally he will be with us next year, too. 

We are thankful that we have been under God's protection and able to deliver words of the Bible to you for the last one year.

The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God,and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all !

「You should each judge your own conduct. If it is good,then you can be proud of what you yourself have done,

without having to compare it with what someone else has done.」　Amen.

Only two days, today and tomorrow, are left before the end of the year. It may be pain for you to examine your own conduct, but it is sometimes necessary.  Once you start searching your mind, the Holy Spirit will work as to lead you to repent, to cure you, etc. So, let's　not be afraid and just commit ourselves to God. He will be sure to make us grow in faith.

May we be able to commit everything to God today, too !

「おのおの自分の行ないをよく調べてみなさい。そうすれば、誇れると思ったことも、ただ自分だけの誇りで、

ほかの人に対して誇れることではないでしょう。」

　今年も今日と明日二日間となりました。自分の行いを調べるのは痛みを伴うことかもしれません。しかし、時には必要なことであり、私たちが心の中を探り始めると、聖霊様が悔い改めに導いたり、聖霊様によって癒されたりします。恐れないで神様に委ねてみましょう。きっと神様が私たちを成長させてくださることでしょう。

今日も神様にすべてを委ねることができますように・・・。

「But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.」 Amen.

Jesus died on our behalf, even though we sinned. And there is no more love. He came down to this world to atone for our sins by his death on the cross. Moreover, he had already given salvation before we asked for it.

May the grace of the Lord be with you today too.
