Jesus was born as a human being for us about 2000 years ago. And he will come again. 

At that time, he will not atone for sin, but will create new world without sin itself. We will enjoy the new Christmas. "Maranata (Come Lord)"

『【主】はイスラエルの家にこう言われる。「わたしを求めて生きよ。」』

単純明快な言葉です。「わたしを求めて生きよ」。罪に汚れ、死に向かっていく、私たち人間が解決できる唯一の方法がこれです。罪は滅びをもたらすが、上を向いて主を求めるなら、希望が見えてくる。困難の中でも苦しみ痛み病の中でも、主に委ねると得も言われぬ平安が降りてくる。

今日も、主を求めて生かされますように・・・。

「For thus says the Lord to the house of Israel:"Seek Me and live;」  Amen.

"Seek Me and live." is a simple and clear sentence. This is the only way we humans can resolve our sins and deaths. 

Sin brings destruction to us, but if we look up at the Lord and seek, we will find hope. 

Even in difficult times, suffering, pain, and illness, if we trust in the Lord, we will be given indescribable peace.

May we continue to seek the Lord today.

『もしあなたがたがこの世のものであったら、世は自分のものを愛したでしょう。しかし、あなたがたは世のものではありません。わたしが世からあなたがたを選び出したのです。そのため、世はあなたがたを憎むのです。』

心の虚しさを埋めてくれるものは何か、捜し求めて、最終的にたどり着くのは、創造主なる神の愛なのです。その愛を受け入れ、心が満たされていくと、この世とは合わなくなるのです。能力もなく、知識もなく、人望もないこの私を神様は選んでくださいました。感謝以外何物でもありません。

今日も、主に感謝する一日となりますように・・・。

「"If you were of the world, the world would love its own. 

Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.」　Amen.

What fills the emptiness of your heart? No matter how much you seek, it is the love of God the Creator after all. 

When you accept God's love and feel your heart fulfilled, you do not fit into this world. God chose me, has no ability, no knowledge, and no popularity. 

I will give you thanks forever.

May you give thanks to the Lord today too.

「"You shall follow what is altogether just, that you may live and inherit the land which the Lord your God is giving you.」 Amen.

Which do you value righteousness or humanity? If you value human feelings, you might spend time in this world without conflict. 

But the Bible tells us to pursue righteousness. The world you see by trusting in God's righteousness is beautiful and does not bother you.

May you pursue the path of the Lord today as well.

『正義を、ただ正義を追い求めなければならない。そうすれば、あなたは生き、あなたの神、【主】が与えようとしておられる地を自分の所有とすることができる。』

正義を重んじるか、はたまた、人情を重んじるか、人情を重んじた方が何の軋轢もなく、この世を過ごしやすいと思われるのですが、聖書では、正義を追い求めなさいというのです。神の義を貫くときに、見える世界は何のしがらみもない、すっきりとした世界なのです。

今日も、主の道を突き進むことができますように・・・。

「"And just as you want men to do to you, you also do to them likewise.」　Amen.

Blessed are those who don't hate anyone and have no enemies. But as long as we are alive, there are some haters and enemies. 

Jesus said, "Love your enemies." Even if you can't do so, the peace will come when you are conscious of the word.

May you be filled with the peace of the Lord today as well.

『人からしてもらいたいと望むとおりに、人にしなさい。』

憎いと思う人もいないし、敵となる人もいない、その人は幸せな人です。でも、人間生きている限り、多少なりとも、憎い人や敵対する人は出てくるものです。イエス様は、「汝の敵を愛せよ」と言われました。できなくても、その意識を持つだけでも、平安がやってくるのではないでしょうか。

今日も、主の平安で満たされますように・・・。

「But Jesus answered them, "My Father has been working until now, and I have been working."」

This context is where Jesus healed the sick on the Sabbath and the Jews persecuted him. Jesus replied, "God the Father in Heaven has been working. 

He is working because there is no reason not to do it on the Sabbath."
