『さて、イエスがベタニアで、

　ツァラアトに冒された人シモンの家におられたときのことである。

　食事をしておられると、ある女の人が、

　純粋で非常に高価なナルド油の入った小さな壺を持って来て、

　その壺を割り、イエスの頭に注いだ。』

水曜日は、ベタニヤにおける一日でした。イエス様は、シモンの家にいました。その時に、マリヤがイエス様の葬りの備えとして、み足に高価な香油を注ぎました。その一方でイスカリオテのユダは大祭司のもとでイエス様を裏切る策を練っていたのです。私たちを救う為の十字架の道が刻々と近づいていたのです。

　今日も、主の十字架に近づくことができますように・・・。

 『するとイエスは言われた。

　「カエサルのものはカエサルに、神のものは神に返しなさい。」

　彼らはイエスのことばに驚嘆した。』

宮における最後の一日となった火曜日、この日は、イエス様は、自分に敵対する者たちたちや民衆や弟子たちとの問答に終始していました。今日の聖句は、その中の一節なのです。カエサルに税金を納めることは律法にかなっているかどうかの質問にイエス様が答えたのです。でも、その頃、大祭司や長老たちはイエス様を捕らえる策略を密かに練っていたのです。

　今日も、イエス様のみ言葉に耳を傾けることができますように・・・。

「And Jesus answered and said to them,

　"Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's,

　and to God the things that are God's."

　And they marveled at Him.」　Amen.

　On Tuesday, the last day at the Temple, Jesus held a long discussion with his opponents, the people, and his disciples. Today's verse is a passage in it. Jesus answered the question of whether it was legal to pay taxes to Caesar. At that same time the leading priests and elders were plotting how to capture Jesus secretly.

　'My house shall be called a house of prayer,'

　but you have made it a 'den of thieves.' "」Amen.

　This week is Passion Week. Tracing the last week before Jesus' crucifixion, we find that on Saturday, he arrived in Bethany, about 3 km north of Jerusalem. Then, on Sunday, he made his triumphal entry into Jerusalem. This day is called "Palm Sunday" The people expected him to be the king of Jewish liberation, but he entered the city not on a warhorse but on a donkey as a king of peace. And on Monday, he expressed his anger against the high priest who was raging in the Temple garden, driving him out and cleansing the Temple.

　May we meditate on the Way of the Cross today....

『そして彼らに言われた。

「『わたしの家は祈りの家と呼ばれる』と書いてある。

　それなのに、おまえたちはそれを『強盗の巣』にしている。」』

今週は、受難週です。イエス様が十字架に架かるまでの最後の一週間を辿ってみると、土曜日に、エルサレムより北へ３キロ程の距離にあるベタニヤへ到着しました。そして、日曜日には、エルサレムへ勝利の入城を果たしました。この日は、「棕櫚の聖日」と呼ばれています。民衆はユダヤ解放の王として期待しましたが、軍馬ではなく、平和の王としてロバで入城したのです。そして、月曜日、神殿の庭で暴利を貪っていた大祭司に対して、怒りを表し、追い出し、宮をきよめたのです。

　今日も、十字架の道行を黙想することができますように・・・。

『27:27 それから、総督の兵士たちはイエスを総督官邸の中に連れて行き、イエスの周りに全部隊を集めた。27:28 そしてイエスが着ていた物を脱がせて、緋色のマントを着せた。27:29 それから彼らは茨で冠を編んでイエスの頭に置き、右手に葦の棒を持たせた。そしてイエスの前にひざまずき、「ユダヤ人の王様、万歳」と言って、からかった。27:30 またイエスに唾をかけ、葦の棒を取り上げて頭をたたいた。27:31 こうしてイエスをからかってから、マントを脱がせて元の衣を着せ、十字架につけるために連れ出した。』　

旧約聖書で預言された救い主イエス様は、預言通りに誕生されました。その使命は、私たちを罪から贖い、永遠の命を与えるためでした。その為に、罪なきイエス様が私たちの身代わりとなって十字架に架かって死なれたのです。それは、私たちをたくさんの呪いから解放し、イエス様の元へ招く為でした。死んで、墓に葬られ、三日目に蘇られたイエス様は、今も生きて働いておられるのです。今週は受難週ですので、イエス様の十字架の道行に心を思い巡らせながら、祈りながら過ごしていきたいものです。

　愛する天のお父様、み名を崇め感謝します。あなたの打たれし打ち傷も、流されし血潮も、刺されし茨の冠も、すべてが私たちを救う為でありましたから感謝します。あなたのその大きな愛故に私たちが生かされたことをありがとうございます。この受難週にイエス様のことを思い巡らすことができますように導いてください。全てを感謝し、主イエス・キリストのお名前によってお祈りいたします。　　アーメン。

「Immediately he went after her,

　as an ox goes to the slaughter,

　Or as a fool to the correction of the stocks,」Amen.

Adam ate the fruit of the tree Eve gave him without resisting. Here he simply followed her temptation. This is a metaphorical description of how people succumb to temptation and are led in the wrong direction. Wise choices and self-discipline are important to overcome weaknesses and temptations. By walking in God's ways and making wise decisions, we can avoid wandering down the wrong path.

　May we walk in the Lord's ways today....

『彼はただちに、彼女の後について行く。

　牛が屠り場に引かれて行くように、

　足かせが愚か者を懲らしめているかのように。』

　アダムが、イブから渡された木の実を抗うことなく食べてしまいました。ここでは彼女の誘惑にただただついて行ったのです。人々が誘惑に屈してしまい、誤った方向に導かれる様子を比喩的に描写しています。弱点や誘惑に打ち勝つためには、賢明な選択と自己統制が重要です。神の道を歩み、賢い判断を行うことで、誤った道に迷い込むことを避けることができるのです。

　今日も、主の道を歩むことができますように・・・。　

「With her enticing speech she caused him to yield,

　With her flattering lips she seduced him.」Amen.

This world is full of sweet talk and temptation. We need to be discerning. We must contemplate what they are based on and what their purpose is. You can tell the real from the fake by always being in contact with the real. If you are always in contact with real banknotes, you will know when you touch a counterfeit one. To protect ourselves from temptation, it is essential to trust God and seek His guidance. By relying on God's teachings and Word, and by living a life of prayer and faith, we can resist temptation and stay on the right path.

　May we be in touch with the Word of the Lord today....

『彼女は心動かすことばで彼を誘惑し、

　滑らかな唇で彼をいざなう。』

　この世は甘言や誘惑で満ちています。見極める目が必要です。何に基づいているのか、何の目的なのか、熟慮しなければなりません。本物と偽物を見分けるには、いつも本物に触れておくと分かるのです。いつも本物の紙幣に触れておくと、偽物の紙幣を触った時にすぐにわかるのです。誘惑から身を守るためには、神への信頼と導きを求めることが不可欠です。神の教えや御言葉を頼りにし、祈りと信仰を持って生活することで、誘惑に負けず、正しい道を歩むことができるのです。

　今日も、主のみ言葉に触れることができますように・・・。
