Welcome to a new episode of History: Fact and Fiction! Welcome to the next episode of Cozy on up in NC Cardinal! Each episode is a journey through a Cozy Mystery genre theme or author available in NC Cardinal. Our inaugural episode covered “what is a cozy mystery?” Today, we’re looking at holiday cozies, particularly those set during Halloween. Halloween and Christmas are the two most popular holidays that a series eventually gets to, with Thanksgiving, Fourth of July, St. Patrick’s Day, and Valentine’s Day also appearing in some series. There are 66 Halloween or Autumn cozy mysteries in NC Cardinal, so I had to narrow it down. I’m reviewing cozy mysteries that have bookstores, libraries, or a book club with Halloween as the main theme or setting.
