I really can talk for a while... Might be a loon, but I thought I'd share some thoughts about last year and some of the plans I have for the next. I tell a couple stories, talk about some of the lessons I learned this year, and some of the good decisions I made.
I failed my New Year's Resolution for 2017, didn't climb the ridge I wanted to. This year I won't set a specific resolution, but I will try to increase my time in the woods around me.
I'm excited for 2018, should be a good one.

Just yakkin today. Had some thoughts after getting to spend time with my family during the holidays this year.
No man is an island, you aren't an individual in a vacuum. We're interconnected, and that's fine.

Western Oregon, particularly the small area I live in is prime truffle territory. Oregon black and white truffles have become more popular in the recent years, they're very similar to the European truffles and have the same culinary uses. Oregon truffles tend not to be as expensive as those in Europe, but they have the same flavor and are certainly easier to get.
If you're interested in any Oregon truffles, let me know.

My friend, Philip Frey of Valiant Growth, joined me to just chat. I tend to avoid doing much prep work for interviews, so I just follow something that truly interests me about the person. We talk about Philip's past in Romania, his relationship with his family, and what he has learned from his time on earth.

MK Lords of Iconosass joined me to talk about feminist issues. Issues that I haven't been very open to in the past, but have been trying to take a more careful look at recently.

I had one of my mentors and friends, Michael W Dean, the man who started my podcasting career, on the podcast this time. Michael has lived a very interesting life, and I really enjoy talking to him and hearing the stories and life lessons he has learned.
Michael is absolutely a rebel, a guy who tests the fence regularly. Getting kicked out of a Church Farm School, becoming a punk rocker, hosting an anarchist radio show, and picking beef with well-known libertarians.
I hope you enjoy this episode! Check out Michael's music and the Freedom Feens!

There's plenty of well-deserved controversy over the origins of the American holiday of Thanksgiving, but I try to look past that to find a deeper appreciation for this holiday. Giving thanks is a powerful practice and being grateful is a reason to celebrate. I hope you all had fun this Thanksgiving!
Richard Grove of Tragedy and Hope.com joins me to talk about sales. Rich is apart of a business mastermind group with me, I wanted to hear some more advice on being a successful entrepreneur from him, and I thought it would be good to record it to share with you!
Making money is about exchanging goods and services. It's not about a diploma or certification, it's about providing value. A diploma or certification theoretically shows that you can provide value because you've met a certain level of competency with certain skills. But what matters is if you really can provide value for others. If you want to make a lot of money, provide a lot of value. Become valuable, learn skills, set yourself apart from your peers. Learn how to talk to people, learn how to solve problems.

Merrick VanLandingham of the RadicaLogic Podcast joins me to talk about to just yak about life, educating oneself, and head injuries. I really enjoy conversations like these. We've got a short time on Earth, we don't know when our trip ends. So focus on what's important, don't get bogged down in the bullshit. You're alive, life is beautiful, have some fucking fun.
