I put together a quick audio presentation on foraging wild mushrooms. This totally isn't a complete presentation, don't expect to know everything about mushrooms. But I wanted to give some tips to folks who were interested in getting started. 
The most important thing I can say is to be careful. It's easy to make a mistake with IDing mushrooms and easy to get lost in the woods. But most mushrooms are safe, and tasty!

I'm just yakkin on this episode. I hit hard man, what really matters here? Some people have a mission and a purpose already, and not everybody has to tear down everything they believe with skepticism or low self-esteem. But if you are tearing it down, I think an answer is there. 
Doing certain things feel good. Doing other things make you feel bad. The consequences aren't always immediate, it may feel good to steal a candy bar, but it sucks to get caught. And the system of consequences can be pretty complicated, but if you try to learn it, you'll get better at getting the results you desire. Never perfect, but better and better.

Wow, stoicism again? It's useful shit guys, I promise. 

Today Scott Hebert of the Stoic Mettle Podcast joins me to talk about stoicism. I've been a fan of Scott for a while, following him and his farm on social media and interacting every once in a while. When he started up Stoic Mettle, I was more than excited, I was stoked. Stoic Mettle is the only stoic themed podcast, and it's a great one. 

I probably mention stoicism once every episode, I talk about it a lot. For a reason. I really think the ideas in this philosophy are very powerful. It's difficult, but that's the point.

I'm having a hard time trying to figure out how I'm going to try to live this life I have. I'm feeling like I'm not doing it right yet, so I'm considering some things that I could do to change my strategy up. Right now, I'm thinking mostly about where my areas of focus are and if I can improve my focus on making money and farming somehow. An issue that I've dealt with in the past that seems to keep coming back.

I'm no luddite, and I don't really think you should get rid of your access to the internet or the cool screened-machines like computers and smartphones. These things are fantastic and have been part of a huge technology boom that has made living as human being much easier and much more fun than it ever has been. But I have some concerns and issues with these devices and this technology. 

I wonder how well humans(and our environments) can adapt to our production of new technology. Never before have we had so much information at our fingertips, can we handle it?

Today I listened to episode 958 of the Joe Rogan Experience with Jordan Peterson, probably my favorite from JRE so far. I found a lot of great information in this show and I found it very valuable, so much that I plan on relistening to the 3 hours a few more times. 

They talked a lot about purpose in life, what living this life as a human being is really about. A subject I study and think about a lot. So I wanted to talk about it today.
