The magic of music keeps us rolling along, filling our hearts with memories of good times and hope for the future... featuring special guest host Rick Garvin.   Thanks to Rick for letting Rhea take the night off!

Imagine our surprise as David Ross Macdonald walked through the door about a half-hour before showtime, and then when we realized that he was tonight's "t.b.a." feature artist!  Starting the night with his deft, enchanting guitar playing and his thoughtful, expressive lyrics, David led us into an inspired evening of impromptu bands and jams.

Wow was it ever a hot day!  But we didn't cool off much with all this white hot talent in our room...  kicked off by special feature artist, Mike Ehlers.

Well, we thought the storm was over, but as soon as the sun started peeking out, Jill Pollock stormed in with her ukelele and commanded us to listen to her astonishingly honest lyrics and striking ukelele stylings.  The thunder kept rolling along with fine talent from all corners, including a number of suprising new-comer talents!

With some very big boots to fill (props to Rhea!), Kaley Bird took her post as guest host and led us through some powerful songs performed by some of Edmonton (and area's) biggest talents... what an exciting and entertaining evening!

Guest host Rick Garvin led us through a night full of fresh new faces with some impressive style and talent, with our favourite and cherished musical friends. This was one of those summer nights that we dream of in the middle of winter's grips, enjoy the power of nature and the magic of music!

Kaley Bird guest hosts a hail-storm of golf-ball-sized talent!

Most nights we can honestly say "Wow!" after each episode, but tonight's performances deserve an extra loud "WOW!"  From feature artist Andrew Allen's impressive opening set, followed by the young talent of Rebecca Lappa, the momentum of creativity, talent, and great music carried us through an energetic night that will echo in our hearts in the week ahead.   "The stars of tomorrow are shining very brightly tonight!"

We'd like to send a special thanks to Goody and Harry Von for filling in as guest hosts tonight!!  They did a tremendous great job and we learned alot about Jay Anthony Willis' vast music trivia knowledge.  As well, we had the opportunity to listen to extended sets from the talented musicians who didn't have folk fest tickets this year, AND we were treated to some impromptu jam and encore sets!

A heat-wave of talent simmered its way into hulbert's, led by Kitchener-based performer, Mark Perak!
