This week on the Yellow Brit Road, we've been testing the very limits of what's possible (and permissible) on radio! It's only healthy to keep radio on its feet every now and then... with great music!
Featuring the bands Black Honey, Death Cult Electric, This Becomes Us, Superfood, Reuben James, Slum of Legs, Those F*cking Snowflakes, F*ckshovel, Sweaty Palms, Dear Boy, and Curling, besides classics Queen and Vixen.
We explored a tiny little village in Austria soon to undergo a name change on account of people stealing their signposts... now look, technically, this episode is not explicit by all definitions of what it means for a show to be explicit. However, if you'd rather your children not know that there's the coolest little village in Austria called Fucking, you might want them to sit this one out (or at least, one section of the show). Other than that, as always, Yellow Brit Road, good fun for the whole family!

It's finally here! I sat down for a full-length interview with Montreal-based punk band, Super Punk, whose debut album Kim Jong Goes To Cégep is out now! The band talked to me about the album, their origin and plans to take over as the best punk band in the world... and going beyond just being a punk band, to being a Super Punk band.

Montreal-based punk band Super Punk dropped by the CFRC hideout to talk to us about their new debut album, Kim Jong goes to CEGEP. We chatted for nearly an hour in a full-length sit-down interview for my other radio show on CFRC, What The Punk?! that's coming out soon! They also did these two lovely station IDs for us... consider this a teaser for a great interview. It's worth the wait and worth the hype!

This week on the Yellow Brit Road... a chance to wind down, relax and forget the world, temporarily. Primarily the last of those.
Drown out your anxiety with the tales and mishaps of cute bear cubs, a great interview and... merch?!
We had music old and new; one of the best alternative bands in the world, Velvet Underground on this week, 7-year-old Welsh singer and guitarist Arianwen, Czech-label-Italian "weird" rock trio Julinko, a new single from the Kaiser Freaks Kaiser Chiefs, London based Hey Colossus and pianist Duval Timothy!
This week's submission was in from Fareham, UK, courtesy rock and roll band The Straights. Keep an eye out for them, they're gonna be big!
If you'd like to get involved with the show, now is a good time! Through November and December, CFRC is running its annual funding, and each week there's something new to get involved with, and tons of great prizes from Kingston community stores! Find out all about it on cfrc.ca, and if you'd like to promote your music on the show, tweet @YellowBritCFRC or email [email protected].
We read a powerful article written by former Noisettes fromtwoman Shingai, whose latest album Too Bold is out now.
Masala Chai this week was courtesy Toronto thrash punks the OBGMs who have a new album, and Montreal punk band Super Punk. Look out for my interview with them in the coming weeks!

This week on the Yellow Brit Road... punk! Rock! RnB! Indie! The list is endless! (Well, actually not, we had to stop after an hour)
This week's show featured the wonderful artists, Scottish rockers Black Cart, London-based indie songstress Connie Constance, Mancunian dance-funkers Porij, Liverpool garage rock trio Oya Paya (who reminded me in part of Jet in a good way... where are Jet these days?), Irish rock duo We Cut Corners, Lancastrian punks TV Face, Edinburg punks Treason of the Monarchy, Briitish Barbadian RnB musician RoRo and Manchester based singer Pip Millett!
Masala chai this week was sipped in the thrilling company of Kingston-based The Astros, Toronto hard rockers PONY and Eiffel frontman Romain Humeau.

This week, the Yellow Brit Road is drawing rings around the world!
You read that right, it's that time of the month: album listening party! This month's record of choice is the Super Furry Animals' 2001 album, Rings Around The World. We listened to the Welsh band's fifth studio album and first venture into bold-faced pop music in it's unabashed exploratory entirety. Pop the record on and follow along!

This week on the Yellow Brit Road, lost tapes, Cardiacs, rock and poetry!
We had old-new music from the Rolling Stones, aided by Mick Jagger having some extra time on his hands to dig through the archives to find a lost cassette of a recording the band did with Jimmy Page, which manifested itself into a new release!
We also paid tribute to Tim Smith of Cardiacs. RIP.
This week's new music was from Dry Cleaning, The Hipshakes, Problem Patterns, Abjects, and a vivid poetry performance from spoken word artist George the Poet.
We surveyed the Two-Tone movement of the 80's, listened to the Specials, and had a new Gorillaz tune!
Masala Chai this was graciously provided by Australian synth punk band Kitchen People, NY-based Peel Dream Magazine and Toronto-based Kiwi Jr.
This week's playlist can be found here, and individual artists on their Bandcamps.

This week on the Yellow Brit Road, acoustic performances, loud girls, Satanic experiences and ukuleles!
We started off with acoustic performances from Muse's Matt Bellamy, covering Simon and Garfunkel's moving Bridge Over Troubled Water, only to have a live performance from the OGs from way back in 1967.
New music on this week's show, Yorkshire band Guru, Bristolian trio Svalbard, and a compilation album released by Nottingham-based Punk 4 the Homeless, which can be found on Bandcamp.
This week brought back our favourite music journalism feature, and it was a cracker indeed.
Masala Chai this week was brought direct to your ears by Brazilian duo Overdrive Duo, belting out a spectacular cover of AC/DC's Thunderstruck on ukuleles, and Born Ruffians, who have a new album called Squeeze.
