Today I made a fabric pencil case with a timeless children's design and bright colors. For the interior, I chose a blue fabric that contrasts perfectly, and to further highlight the design, I used a thick blue zipper that harmonizes with the entire project. Although the materials were simple, each one is of very good quality, and that makes a big difference in the final result.

There are many ways and techniques for making a pencil case; this time, I decided on a method that is ideal for fabric, much more practical and easier to work with than other materials I usually use in my projects. Hoy realicé una cartuchera de tela con un diseño infantil que no pasa de moda y colores llamativos. En el interior, escogí una tela azul que contrasta a la perfección, y resaltando aún más el diseño para cerrar usé un cierre grueso azul que armoniza con todo el proyecto. Aunque los materiales fueron sencillos, cada uno es de muy buena calidad, y eso marca una gran diferencia en el resultado final.

Existen muchas formas y técnicas para hacer una cartuchera; en esta ocasión, me decidí por un método ideal para telas, mucho más práctico y fácil de manipular que otros materiales que suelo usar en mis proyectos. The printed fabric will be the outer part of the pencil case, and will be a piece measuring 24 cm by 29 cm.

This process creates a FRENCH SEAM in the corners, the same type used in clothing manufacture. This means that no seam cover is necessary, and the inside is very clean and neat.

As you can see, it looks great and the shape of this design provides plenty of storage space with easy access to everything. Placing the handles on both ends of the closure is a real plus, as it makes it much easier to open and close the pencil case. You might think it's unnecessary, but when you use it, you realize how useful they are, so always make sure to include them.

This design can be modified in all its measurements if you want it to be bigger, taller, or longer. Just think about the measurements a little, and the procedure will always be the same. Coloring has always been an activity not only taught at school from a young age, but also an important activity in my home, along with drawing. Ever since my children were little, I told them that "all" homework and assignments should be accompanied by a drawing, even if they weren't asked for one at school. And I also always bought them coloring books as rewards, which they quickly devoured.

These coloring books are a new format currently in use, and are used as souvenirs, for birthdays, as support material for children's exhibitions, as gifts, etc. They have tons of uses, and we can make this coloring book with just a sheet of paper, Canva, and a printer. Let me show you:

Colorear siempre ha sido una actividad no solo de esas que se realizan en el colegio desde pequeños, en mi casa siempre ha sido una actividad importante junto a dibujar. Desde que mis hijos estaban pequeños les decía que "todas" las tareas y asignaciones debían ir acompañadas de un dibujo, aunque no se los hayan pedido en el colegio. Y también siempre les compraba libros de colorear como premio, los cuales devoraban en poco tiempo.

As I mentioned, I used Canva Pro, but it's not mandatory. You can use the free version, just be careful to choose free elements.

I chose "Create a Design" in Letter size, landscape format. You can use portrait, but I felt more comfortable using landscape. I inserted a "Table" with 4 columns and 2 rows, leaving a little space around the edges of the sheet. This will make everything much easier.

My first digital Chibi! You have no idea how excited I am. I have been practicing a lot, thanks to my children's classes, I have worked very hard to make that jump from traditional illustration to digital illustration, and of course it had to be with a Fanart of one of the characters from @holozing that I am very in love with.

To start off I did it with Zappit, in my Female Chibi version, beautiful, I am in love with it, I would like to print it on many things, it is so beautiful, I put too much love into it. I worked on an Ipad and with the Procreate program, these resources are from my daughter who is an illustrator and I have been learning and working with her. I was so excited that I wanted to upload a little video with the process, which I also explain below:

¡Mi primera Chibi en digital! No tienen ni idea de la emoción que siento. He estado practicando mucho, gracias a las clases de mis hijos, he trabajado muchísimo para dar ese salto de la ilustración tradicional a la ilustración digital, y por supuesto que tenía que ser con un Fanart de uno de los personajes de @holozing que me tienen muy enamorada.

Para estrenarme lo hice con Zappit, en mi versión Femenina Chibi, hermosa, estoy enamorada de ella, la quisiera imprimir en muchas cosas, de lo bella que es, le puse demasiado amor. Trabajé en una Ipad y con el programa Procreate, estos recursos son de mi hija que es ilustradora y he estado aprendiendo y trabajando con ella. Me emocioné tanto que quise subirles un pequeño video con el proceso, que también explico a continuación:

Zappit

I like to sketch with two colors. Then, Lineart with a thin pencil-style brush. This is how I work when drawing on paper as well.

Me gusta realizar el boceto con dos colores. Luego, Lineart con un pincel estilo o efecto lápiz, delgado. Así trabajo también cuando dibujo en papel.

I applied shadows to the skin. The hair was very thick and I applied the base color like the original Zappit. With the airbrush I colored the lower part of the hair a redder color, and with the characteristic shine in front of the bangs that I always like to do with the Chibis.

I added more details to the hair. The dress was a medium brown, and gloves and shoes with a beautiful design.

I colored the eyes with Zappit's signature green, they actually turned out the same as Zappit's but with the eyes I always make in Chibis. I added more details to everything and a background to present.

To make the cover, I worked with Canva in its Pro version, I uploaded my drawing and improved the image with the Canva App called Image Upscaler, with which you can increase the quality without actually intervening in the design. I also made an animation of the elements.

La estreno con el Tutorial de unas Pulseras con hilo encerado o hilo chino puede ser, con un diseño o decoración de chaquiras rosadas principalmente y un elemento dorado que es un tubo con curva. As Content Creators, the visual quality of our publications is essential to capture the reader's attention. Of course, that quality in terms of equipment such as cameras or phones is something that we have according to our possibilities, and we must improve them progressively.

But there are also resources that we can improvise or make with our own hands, to raise the quality or to facilitate our process. In this case, I wanted to make a Base to record in a Zenith Plane, where it is viewed from above, this seems great to me to record the step by step of the crafts, with greater emphasis.

So today I invite you to watch the explanatory video, with the step by step and the whole process.

Como Creadores de Contenido, la calidad visual de nuestras publicaciones es fundamental para captar la atención del lector. Por supuesto que esa calidad en cuanto a los equipos como cámaras o teléfonos es algo que tenemos de acuerdo a nuestras posibilidades, y debemos mejorarlas progresivamente.

Pero también hay recursos que podemos improvisar o hacer con nuestras propias manos, para elevar la calidad o para facilitar nuestro proceso. En este caso que quise realizar una Base para grabar en Plano Cenital, donde se visualiza desde arriba, esto me parece genial para grabar el paso a paso de las manualidades, con mayor énfasis.

Así hoy los invito a ver el video explicativo, con el paso a paso y todo el proceso.

Basically, the main material of this project is this box from a television, which I kept, as always, because I am at that stage of my life where if the box or packaging is pretty, I don't throw it away.

The box is white on the outside with images, and it is laminated, its texture is very pleasant to the touch. For this reason, I didn't want to cover the box, I only put white foam in some places to cover some very striking images in my design, but in general I was happy to use it as it was, and it was in perfect condition.

Básicamente el material protagonista de este proyecto, es esta caja de un televisor, que como siempre guardé, porque estoy en esa etapa de mi vida en la que si la caja o envase son bonitos no los boto.

La caja en su exterior es de color blanco con imágenes, y esta como plastificado, su textura es muy agradable al tacto. Por ello, no quise forrar la caja, solo en algunos lugares le coloqué foami blanco para tapar algunas imágenes muy llamativas en mi diseño, pero en general estaba conforme con usarla tal cual estaba, y es que estaba en perfecto estado.

If the cardboard you are going to use is very thick and would give you good structure in this project, use the quantities of pieces that I indicated above. In my case, I felt that it was not strong enough, so I decided to repeat all the pieces to make them thicker and stronger.

Si el cartón que vas a utilizar es muy grueso y te daría buena estructura en este proyecto, utiliza las cantidades de piezas que te señalé anteriormente. En mi caso, sentí que no quedaba suficientemente fuerte, por lo que decidí repetir todas las piezas para hacerlas más gruesas y fuertes.

This is a small light for your cell phone, for taking selfies, it turned out to be ideal for this project. I was already thinking about how to attach a LED light strip to my Base, and I remembered that I had this one stored away.

In the Base workspace, it lights up very well. It has 3 types of lights and now I won't have it stored away and forgotten in a drawer anymore, since it supports the entire concept of my Base for recording Overhead Shot.

Esta es una pequeña lámpara de luz para el celular, para tomarse selfies, resultó ser ideal para este proyecto. Ya estaba yo pensando en cómo colocar una tira de luz led a mi Base, y recordé que tenía esta guardada.

En el espacio de trabajo de la Base, ilumina muy bien. Tiene 3 tipos de luces y ahora no la tendré más guardada y olvidada en una gaveta, ya que apoya todo el concepto de mi Base para grabar Plano Cenital.

The accessory I made is very allegorical of these dates, specifically the New Year's Eve parties, where we wear beautiful headbands or tiaras with the year we are going to start, in this case 2025, and some other elements, which make us have fun, share and celebrate with great joy the Welcome to a year full of new opportunities.

Hoy voy a participar en la Comunidad JewelryJewelry en su Christmas with Style Contest 🎄✨️, imposible no hacerlo porque me encanta crear accesorios en las diferentes Técnicas que conozco, o domino, o me voy de atrevida muchas a veces a empezar.

El accesorio que realicé es muy alegórico de estas fechas, específicamente de las fiestas de Fin de Año, donde lucimos hermosos cintillos o diademas con el año que vamos a estrenar, en este caso el 2025, y algunos otro elementos, que hacen que nos divirtamos, compartimos y celebramos con mucha alegría la Bienvenida a un año lleno de nuevas oportunidades.

As you can see on the cover, this headband has 3 decorative and allegorical elements of Christmas, the year 2024 in golden frosted foam, a Christmas tree in shiline or pipe cleaners, and a third element that I already taught you how to make in my previous post Gift Box with Christmas Tree, which this time I made with light green and dark green frosted foam to make it more interesting. You can go to that post to see the tutorial for this third element.

Anteriormente, les había comentado que le ando coqueteando al contenido audiovisual, pienso que le puedo explicar con palabras, con mi propia voz y eso me parece genial para ir avanzando progresivamente, y aprovechando también que en Hive tenemos a la plataforma 3Speak quienes nos facilitan los recursos.

Como pudieron ver en la portada, este cintillo o diadema tiene 3 elementos decorativos y alegóricos a la Navidad, el año 2024 en foami escarchado dorado, n árbol de navidad en cheline o limpiapipas, y un tercer elemento que ya se los enseñé a realizar en mi post anterior Caja de Regalo con Árbol de Navidad, que en esta ocasión lo realicé con foami escarchado verde claro y verde oscuro para darle más interés. Puedes ir a esa publicación para ver precisamente el tutorial de este tercer elemento.

El Tutorial bien explicado lo tienes en el video de 3Speak, me gustó mucho realizarlo, utilicé Capcut como editor de video, con voz en off y me siento feliz porque es un gran avance.

I loved the final result, especially the detail of the little tree made with pipe cleaners, since it has movement and I think that gives it a fun touch, which is what is needed for the end of year party, lots of joy and fun.

You can really put whatever you want as a decorative element, there are those who are more daring and put glasses and wine bottles in foam, that will surely give many funny comments too, but since the headbands I am making are for my daughters, and although they are of legal age, they do not drink alcoholic beverages, the fun should be towards the Christmas elements.

El resultado final me encantó, sobre todo el detalle del arbolito realizado con cheline o limpiapipas, ya que tiene movimiento y eso me parece que le da un toque divertido, que es lo que se necesita para la fiesta de fin de año, mucha alegría y diversión.

Realmente puedes colocar lo que desees como elemento decorativo, hay quienes son más osados y colocan como copas y botellas de vino en foami, eso seguro dará muchos comentarios divertidos también, pero como lo cintillos que estoy realizando son para mis hijas, y ellas aunque son mayores de edad, no toman bebidas alcohólicas, pues la diversión debe ser hacia los elementos de navidad.

It is the first time that I use it for Christmas, I buy some because they are very cheap, I look at them for a while and many projects come to mind.

My daughters are already grown and have their groups of friends, and they mainly want to have fun, so they asked me for their corresponding Christmas headbands. I thought of presenting this post with the guidelines of Activate Christmas Headbands from the Hive Diy Community but it started to get very long with the amount of photos. So, in order not to bore you, I decided to make a collage-type video where you can see the step by step, and it's great because I have the opportunity to use 3Speak and so little by little I'm getting more practice.

Anyway, we still have time to do our posts for Activate No. 23, we have time but we have to get active!

Saludos Comunidad Hive Diy Sigo súper motivada con creación de Manualidades con motivo de la Navidad, sobre todo ando inspirada con los materiales, en especial el foami escarchado. Es primera vez que lo utilizo en esa navidad, compro algunos ya que son muy económicos, los veo un rato y se me vienen a la mente muchos proyectos.

Mis hijas ya están grandes y tienen sus grupos de amistades, y quieren principalmente divertirse, por lo que me pidieron sus correspondientes Cintillos de Navidad. Este post pensé en presentarlo con las pautas de Actívate Diademas Navideñas de la Comunidad Hive Diy pero se me empezó a hacer muy largo con la cantidad de fotos. Entonces, para no aburrirlos decidí realizar un video tipo collage donde pueden ver el paso a paso, y está genial porque tengo la oportunidad de utilizar 3Speak y así poco a poco le voy tomando más práctica.

De todos modos aún tenemos tiempo de hacer nuestros posts para Actívate Nro. 23, tenemos tiempo pero hay que ¡Activarse!

Hace como 6 años había hecho varios sombreros que colocaba en cintillos, de todos los que hice solo este de color negro guardé. Fue para una fiesta con motivo Gótica, y había quedado genial en ese momento, ya ahora está súper feo y eventualmente lo voy a recrear de nuevo, porque me parece bien tener ciertos accesorios guardados, para que cuando se presente la ocasión ya tenerlos; y mis hijas algunas veces tienen fiestas temáticas por lo que es muy conveniente tenerlos listo.

El patrón para la copa del sombrero lo hice a mano alzada, como dicen por ahí. Realicé una curva y luego le dibujé hacia la parte superior otra curva que formé subiendo 7cms desde el inicio hasta el final.

Luego, la recorte y la llevé al foami rojo. Lo puedes hacer de cualquier medida, ya que al ser foami no pesa casi nada, no utilicé cartón ni nada para darle forma, el solo material fue suficiente.

The whole decoration came together, I made a candy and a bow. I love candy, they are so eye-catching and I have seen that they even decorate Christmas trees with this theme, along with the Christmas Drums that I taught you how to make earlier.

Toda la decoración fue surgiendo, le hice un caramelo y un lazo. Amo los caramelos, son tan llamativos y he visto que incluso decoran árboles de navidad con esta temática, junto con los Tambores de Navidad que les enseñé a hacer anteriormente.

A veces la inspiración viene de los materiales, solo debemos escucharlos y pensar cómo quieren compartir su vida con nosotros. Esta loneta sky estampada, con ese nombre la conseguimos en Venezuela, tiene un hermoso color rosado claro, con líneas y franjas blancas y azules claras.

La veo y solo veo elementos utilitarios como cartucheras, bolsos, porta cosméticos, incluso lo que les presento el día de hoy, un Llavero tipo tira para meter la mano y llevar con comodidad, y también un porta credencia para llevar exactamente lo necesario. Y hoy me he inspirado tanto que incluso me he animado a realizar un tutorial con video de Threespeak... Pues sí, así de animada estoy de darle utilidad a este hermoso material.

Como les mencioné anteriormente, estoy emocionada de comenzar a utilizar este material con estos hermosos colores y estampado. En otras publicaciones realizaré otros Proyectos Hive Diy, con lo que me va quedando de este material.

Podemos prestar atención a las formas, medir y usar nuestra calculadora si el caso lo amerita para patronar o diseñar. Recuerdo una vez en un curso express de morral que una de las chicas le pedía desesperada a la profesora las medidas del fuelle del morral, y yo pensaba ¡Dios, solo mide alrededor de toda la parte frontal o la parte posterior y añade 1 cm de costura en cada extremo! Hay que aplicar un poco de análisis y ciertamente algo de matemáticas.

Para este Diseño de Porta Credencial, como lo verán en el video lo fui creando de acuerdo a cómo quería que se viera. Y para el Llavero simplemente fue una tira de 6 cms por 40 cms, aunque puede ser como todo de las medidas que quieras.
