When all the sudden, you struggle to speak, move and see.. With no signs of it getting better, your EuCan Spirit really gets put to the test.
Faced with Myasthenia Gravis, a neuromuscular autoimmune condition that affects the mind-muscle connection, Eugene Chan talks about his diagnosis of this condition and his road to remission. He discusses the psychological effect of this seemingly painless condition and how it further shaped his EuCan mindset.
Never thought of himself as victim, made excuses or blamed the disease - this journey truly explores how you can do anything despite all odds. At the same time in which he was diagnosed, Eugene grew his production company from a single freelancer to a team of 6 with a physical studio in Hong Kong, working with some of the biggest brands in the world and making multi-million dollars in billing (in midst of social unrest and a global pandemic, too). Perhaps it was his condition that shifted his mindset - focusing more on value-creation, quality productions and relationship building instead of a monetary gains - that lead him to where he is today.
Ever since this condition, Eugene has strived to make each new project his best - life is too short to be mediocre. He now values the highest quality work, strong relationships and meaningful projects above all else. In hopes of making a bigger impact, he aims to start EuCan Foundation in 2025 to help those in need.
