Using animals to test the safety of cosmetics has been in practice since the 1930s. But as scientists develop new technology-driven testing methods that don’t require animals, many corporations and the public favor ending this archaic and barbaric institution. We discuss the growing movement to stop using animals in cosmetics testing.
