When choosing the word "Witch" for this podcast title, it reminded me of the importance of understanding and reclaiming this word. Women and men who were persecuted as witches, were actually being punished for being unconventional, non-conforming or rebellious. This process of "Othering" is not unique to the witch craze, but exists in many ways even today. Now is the time to reclaim the word witch, now is the time for the witches. By understanding this oppressive violence, we can use our voices and our magick to stop its reach within ourselves and our world.
