The natural outflow of grace is a fundamental reorientation toward those around us. In a world that is increasingly polarized, the call of the believer is to expand our tables to include those who look, think, and act differently than we do. This is the Kingdom.

The prophet's journey began with questions but ends with faith and determination. Maturity in Christ means being able to live in the midst of uncertainty while having a deep faith in the certainty of Jesus.

By remembering the past work of God, we can pray in confidence about those things we desire for Him to do in the future.

When we rest in the character of God we can be content to live in faith and hope even when we don’t understand. The only proper response before a holy God is silence and trust.

Faced with the strange and confusing action of God, Habakkuk is called back to the nature and character of God, of which He's certain. In confusing times, we are called to do the same.

It is normal for God’s people to ask, “If God is sovereign, why doesn't He take action against evil in the world?” Habakkuk asked the same. It's strange when we realize that God is able to do something good, but He seems silent.

Peter's word to the scattered and persecuted church in exile is a powerful word to the church today: be humble, be alert, and stand firm. We are called to live in the temporal world with an eye fixed firmly on the eternal. Our hope is found in the power and authority of Jesus alone.

The suffering of Jesus is a reminder that we, too, will suffer when we stand for righteousness and truth. We are called to remain steadfast in doing good because we can trust in the hope of the resurrection.

In the church, Jesus has created a new society of people who operate according to different values and motivations, together becoming a display of the glory of Jesus.
