In today's episode of the Redefining Health for Kingdom Impact Podcast we are looking at what God says beauty is through examples of women in the bible. The two women we will be talking about are Queen Vashti and Queen Esther.
We will see how Queen Vashti was called "beautiful" by the King yet he wanted to flaunt her beauty and then we Queen Esther with her quiet yet fierce spirit and how she found favor in the eyes of the King by her beauty. We will see beauty as the world defines it and then how God defines it.
Not once does have I found in the bible God says he values us or loves us "if" we look a certain way, are a certain size, or weigh a certain amount. That is what the world looks at, not God. He looks at our heart, our character and that is where our true beauty lies.
God placed Esther right where he needed her to save her people. It wasn't her
appearance that mattered to God, it was her heart. The king chose her for her beauty but she also won his favor. This favor on her life is what allowed her to do the great and mighty things God called her there for.
It's time to let go of the idea that our external beauty is what matters most.
Key Takeaways:
*Beauty is about your character
*God views beauty by our heart not our physical appearance
*Learning to see our body, and our health the way God does vs what the world tries to tell you
