Did you know that almost all the ‘you’ exhortations in the New Testament are in the plural and not in the singular? While it’s certainly appropriate to apply the promises of God personally, remember that much of what we’re told to do can only be fleshed out in community as we live out the gospel together. We as God’s people are a special people because we are His own possession. As God’s people we are to look different than the world looks. There are certain things that mark us and set us apart from others who don’t know God. This message is the first message in a new series that is simply called, “The People Series”.
