YOU BE YOU LIVE

All right—let’s be real for a second.

Lately, I’ve been wrestling with the big question:What’s next for me?

It’s strange to still be figuring that out at this point in life, but here I am—pivoting, creating, rebuilding. I started with a newsletter. That turned into a podcast. And now? I’m writing music. Not just dabbling—writing. Producing. Building.

Yes, I’m using Suno for autotune—shoutout to tech, it’s doing its thing. But I need you to know something important:

I’m the one behind the production.I’m telling it when to drop the drums. When the violins should slide in like silk. When the symphony should rise, hold, and release.

AI doesn’t just “make” the song—I direct it, just like I would with a live band. And if we’re being honest, most modern music today isn’t recorded with full bands either. So this might be different—but it’s my truth. And I’m sharing it.

Now… about the video.I hate it.

The AI generated these old men who are apparently supposed to be me. But I promise you—that’s not me. Not even close. I just didn’t have time to fix it before this post. And yes, I’m working on that.

But still—despite all of that—I’m proud of the message. Proud of the sound. Proud of the growth.

Take a listen. Let me know what you think—about the music, the journey, the truth of it all.

“Strip It All Away” is not just a song—it’s a soul excavation. From a high-octane string crescendo to a sultry spoken word drop, this track weaves through velvet R&B, cinematic drumlines, and a rock-infused rhythm with purpose.

This is for the ones still becoming. The ones who’ve been counted out, quieted down, or boxed in.You don’t need a cape—just character. You don’t need permission—you’re the green light.

Layered. Human. Fierce. Reflective. With every build and breakdown, this song asks one thing:Who are you… when everything else is stripped away?

SONG BY WILLIAM ROCHELLE

There are moments when a conversation becomes more than just words—it becomes a mirror, a map, and a megaphone for those who feel unseen.

This is one of those moments.

In this live episode of You Be You Live, Peter Mulflur and I dive deep into the silent crisis of layoffs in America—the emotional toll, the demographic disparities, and the disconnect between what the administration is saying and what people are actually living through. We speak candidly about the psychological cost of being discarded, the systems at play, and most importantly—how we rebuild with intention.

This is not a podcast about problems. It’s a call to rise.

And if you’re going through it right now, know this: you are not alone. Whether you’re a candidate, a recruiter, a hiring manager, or someone just trying to hold on to hope—there’s something here for you.

We were especially inspired to speak up in solidarity with voices like Ms. Maine, whose recent post on Substack reminded us of the real faces behind the statistics. If you haven’t already, I encourage you to follow her work and her journey:👉 Ms. Maine on Substack

Thanks for reading,

William Rochelle, but you can call me Bill
