  • 04 | How To Be A Black Female Engineer in Remote Areas of the World

In today's episode, you will meet a woman who has paved the way! Meet, Kumari Anderson, an extraordinary woman who has spent 40 years working as a civil engineer/construction manager all over the world. As if that job isn't challenging enough, Kumari also happens to be a woman and black. Hear her story and the advice she gives to future women pursuing a career in male-dominated fields.

Rayna had the pleasure of meeting Kumari while they were both in Lagos, Nigeria.  Kumari was managing off-shore oil projects for Exxon Mobil and Rayna was an international teacher at the American International School of Lagos. Through a mutual friend, they embarked on a trekking trip to Rwanda to see mountain gorillas and became friends. Kumari is a true treasure and one of the most positive people Rayna has ever met. Her story of working not only in the US but also Nigeria, Angola, and Papua New Guinea is one not to miss!

If you'd like to connect with Kumari, please reach out to her on her LinkedIn Profile https://www.linkedin.com/in/kumari-anderson-6948039a/.

  • 02 | Be Productive Like A Boss, A She-Boss

Welcome to the 2nd episode of You Betcha She Did where women entrepreneurs and ladies who have paved the way share their wit and wisdom. In today’s episode, Rayna talks with Marian Knopp, a productivity and lifestyle coach about how she found this pathway in life as well as her best productivity tips.

Marian has spent a lot of time teaching others how to be more productive. In particular, Marian discusses the need to adjust your workload based on your daily energy levels and hormones. You can’t have the same type of productivity from day to day based on these cycles, it is actually ridiculous to expect this.  When you adjust and embrace your bodies changing energy levels and hormones, you actually become more productive and less stressed.
