Publisher's Summary:
Many believers know in their heads that God cares about them. But it's hard to hold that truth in your heart when you're worn out and weary from the mundane, everyday battles and struggles - when you lose your temper again or give into that persistent temptation or feel paralyzed by overwhelming circumstances.
The truth is that the Holy Spirit is right there - waiting for you to let him help. With warmth and encouragement, Sarah Bowling shows how he longs to be part of every situation you face in life, from the exciting, mountaintop experience to day-in, day-out hardships. She'll help you identify the daily challenges and problems and then match those up to the Holy Spirit for supernatural results. As you see how the Helper moved in the lives of the disciples and apostles, you'll begin to recognize the uniquely supernatural expressions of the Holy Spirit in your own daily life. Your faith will be encouraged as you discover how a Spirit-led life means Spirit-filled help, no matter what you may face.

Infusing Your Life with God's Presence & Power is a beautiful reminder of God's presence in our lives
Sarah Bowling's In Step with the Spirit: Infusing Your Life with God's Presence & Power is a beautiful reminder of God's presence in our lives, even in the midst of chaos and struggling.
Bowling writes with spiritual and pastoral wisdom to discern the Spirit's guidance in every moment in our lives. But Bowling is also careful to remind us that that guidance is not always comforting; sometimes God's Spirit will lead us into the wilderness -- just as it did Jesus -- and that often our experiences don't look like what we expect them too but that does not mean the experience can't still be amazing.
I was particularly drawn to her wisdom about how to handle closed doors in chapter 4.
This is a beautiful, and timely, book.

A Closer Walk with the Spirit
Most Christian religions teach a lot about God, the Father and Creator, and about Jesus, our Savior, but neglect to teach about the Holy Spirit, the third Person in the Holy Trinity. Since Jesus left the Spirit to guide us with its gifts of wisdom, counsel, knowledge, fortitude, etc., and bless us with its fruits of kindness, love, joy, peace, gentleness and self control, it seems unlikely that we should overlook the Spirit. For those of us who want to know more, this book is the key to establishing a close relationship with the Spirit as we get to know him.
There is so much to know about the Holy Spirit and how to live, work and be guided by him! Sarah Bowling lays it all out in a reader-friendly format. Most Christians are hungry for knowledge of the Spirit and all of us need his guidance. It is there for the asking.
