What did you love best about Doing Business with God?

This book is practical as a step-by-step guide filled with encouragement for the readers that doing business with God is actually obtainable on a daily basis.

What other book might you compare Doing Business with God to and why?

I've read other prayer books such as Cindy Jacobs "The Voice of God" and Dutch Sheets "Prophetic Intercession." Although the information in these books are valuable, this book outlines more of a hands-on, practical approach. I feel that it gives a better guide for those that are starting out, but I also think that those that are further along in their faith walk can benefit from this book as well.

What does Meghan Crawford bring to the story that you wouldnt experience if you just read the book?

I heard the gentle nature in her voice which reflects the gentile part of God as our Father, which I would not have pictured just reading the book by itself.

Doors Opening !!

This book stands out because it actually gives practical ways to move ahead and operate in this LIFESTYLE of ongoing Freedom so many Christians talk about!!

I've taken these "HOW TO's" and the wisdom in "LIVE FREE" to heart in practicing in the everyday situations of my life because I do desire change .

Life changing words

I read many books including the Bible all the time, but after seeing the Clarks on TV, I have yearned to learn more, experience God in me, not God out there. This is simple but so profound. The simple things change us so deeply but often the most important and difficult to do. The Clarks have made this simple but doable. This model is prophetic because it is a key to the end time Church. We are saved and born again as individuals and we come to our fulfillment as children of a loving Father knowing Him, His will, and walking it out with Him. This is our destiny.

Deep Teaching

In my experience mere reading this book is not enough. One has to keep drinking of its 'waters' till it gets into one's blood as it were. I think then only will the truths it contains manifest in one's life. Am truly gratefully the author's .

Dynamic, Orthodox, and Practical Ways to Be at Peace

Practical ways to be at peace with God, yourself, and others through the power of forgiveness. New dynamics are introduced in this book that are both orthodox but also progressive. As someone who has experienced abuse and struggled with anxiety this book offered ways for me to begin the healing process toward being at peace with others and myself while at the same time remaining connected to God. I highly recommend this insightful and practical book to anyone looking to be more at peace.

Good prayer tool!

I think this book as one of inner healing/deliverance book.

I found them through Sid Roth program, and that was just fun.

It was more about praying in new way. Something about giving your focus.

The Unseen World

I listened to this book with keen interest as I am fascinated by accounts of angelic visits as well as encounters with the demonic. Matthew is very honest and there are experiences he shares that certainly challenges my understanding. However, I pray for God to show me truth and help me glean what I need to hear and know. I commend Matthew for sharing the good, bad, and the ugly and would recommend that others read or listen and determine for yourself.

Genuine Testimony

This book is not what I thought it wouldn't be. I thought it might have more of a processed feeling. Mathew's honest recounting of his experiences, including is admittance to being labeled as having a mental illness, all added to the authentic nature of his testimony. This is my second audio book from Active Christian Publishing. I bought the motivation prayers last couple of weeks. Gold's performance was consistent. The prayers are perfect for asking God for healing.

The prayers. The prayers here are exactly what I need because my friend is currently battling with cancer. This audio book helped me ask for God's aid to help my friend in need.

This is the best prayer audio book I've ever listened to. The narrator was excellent and the prayers here can help us fight an illness, both from the body, and from the mind. I let my friend listen to this and he liked it too.

Another great book from Sproul

As usual, R.C. Sproul presents another aspect of Christianity in such a way, that you cannot help but recognize the truthfulness and power of the Biblical account!

Another great teaching on the gospel of grace

This is the greatness and the love of God, my Father, to allow a wretched child like me, who was born and grew up in legalism to show me the gospel of grace in such an amazing manner. This increases my love for my Father, because I know He loves me and He loves me in a way I cannot even begin to understand.

The information about the Catholic Church is correct, I was born into Orthodox Roman Catholic and moved from there into other forms of legalism within the Christian faith.

God gave me great assurance of my Salvation through this audio teaching I am sitting her in almost glee over this teaching. I will listen to it again and again. I love listening to the gospel of grace. I know at some point I will have to move from the milk of the gospel to the meat of discipleship, but that will come in time.

Remember, if you are legalist, you don't have to be. We are NOT saved by God seeing our performance, we ARE saved through God seeing Christ's performance.

Read for good ideas

I recommend this book to those who are studying to raise a victorious family in the culture of God (as the subtitle reads, A Practical Handbook for Raising a Victorious Family), as long as they recognize the author's worldview and can compare it with the Scriptures. I've listened to a couple of R.C. Sproul Jr.'s worldview lectures as well as reading this book, and I enjoy him very much and, broadly speaking, agree with him. The main thrust of this book deals with understanding the family, its definition and purpose, based on a biblical understanding of the covenant. In the Bible, God always makes covenants with "you and your seed", not with individuals, thereby binding families together. Dr. Sproul examines the connection of the dominion mandate of Genesis ("Be fruitful and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it; and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the face of the earth.") with Jesus' command ("Seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you."). His premise is that we, as families, are in covenant with God, and our purpose is identified with the dominion mandate as we obey Jesus' command to make manifest the reign of the kingdom of God over all things. He examines, in turn (based on Scripture), the roles of the family as a whole, of the husband, of the wife, of the children, and of the church, and gives practical advice on the training and education of children. I enjoy his occasional gentle silliness--differentiating between a covenant and a contract, "Suppose Tolle Lege [his publisher] had offered me all the brussels sprouts I could eat, in exchange for this book. Would I have to take this deal?...Or suppose that I sent Tolle Lege a manuscript that consisted of hundreds of pages with `Families are good' repeated over and over. Would they have an obligation to publish the book?" His bio is "a page of tiny print that lists just about everything I've ever done that doesn't cause me great shame."

Please note that Dr. Sproul is a Reformed Presbyterian, and his beliefs are implicit and explicit throughout the book. He mentions teaching his children the Westminster Shorter Catechism and reciting the Apostles' Creed and the Nicene Creed, the doctrines of original sin, election, and irresistible grace are mentioned or assumed, etc. However, as long as you read the book with this understanding clearly in mind, the principles are helpful and applicable. I was challenged by his explanation of the binding of families by God's covenants, having never thought of it that way before. It's a short read (149 pages), but it goes deep.

I loved all the points made from a biblical perspective. The only thing that could and should have been left out was a mention of R.C. Jr's wife being a school teacher before she was a homeschool mom.
