Todays episode is another relationship special of the podcast! But this one is a little different, as it focuses on dating and finding love during a global pandemic ( lol that sounded so dramatic writing that but it is literally the reality...ok moving on lol) 

Who better to do that with than with two people who found love during covid, my brother and his new girlfriend, Emer!

This is the longest episode of YCMTSU but it focuses on Michael and Emer's story of how covid actually brought them together, without it they probably would never have met..

The episode starts off on their advice on using tinder to your advantage and how to approach someone.

Then we get into a discussion about who should pay on a date, the wage gap and our thoughts on male and female body counts.

I ask both of them if they believe in the concept of soulmates and having a gut feeling about a person.

They then chat us through how they made it work during covid, from drunken times on PUB.ie to 10 hour zoom calls...Did it help them develop a closer connection?

They take us through their first time meeting in real life after lockdown restrictions were lifted, which involved a lot of nerves and a near death experience??! They also  share their advice on meeting somebody from tinder for the first time during covid.

We then cover other topics like defining the relationship online, defining it IRL, importance of meeting each others friends, and how this relationship compares to their past dating experiences.

Finally, they share their advice to people looking to get into a relationship during these covid times.

It then ends with a little quick fire round on whos who in the relationship..

Its a super long episode but I really think its a good one for anyone out their struggling with dating atm.

Finally, he fills us in on what life was like being in a mixed boarding school and the storytimes he has from there.

Welcome to episode 17 of YOU CAN'T MAKE THIS SHIT UP! Today I have a very special guest on called ROE who is an upcoming rapper/singer from London.

He takes us through the whole journey of how he got into music which is very unexpected: from starting out as a kid trying acting, to moving away to Bristol at 16 to become a professional athlete, then starting a smoothie business, not getting into university, to starting a Youtube channel with his best friend,  all the way through to last year when he began discovering his passion for making music and developing himself as an artist.

He shares everything he has learnt up until this point, the hardships and struggles but also the keys to his success so far and how he knew that music was the right path for him.

He talks about his plans for his music and the creative process behind it, but also the plans he has for the entertainment company he runs with his best friends called PROMISE LABEL.

He will be bringing out his first mixtape later on in the year so keep an eye out guys, this guy is gonna be big

This is EP 13 of YOU CAN'T MAKE THIS SHIT UP! I'm reunited with my friend Marie and we catch up on where shes at in her life at the moment. Things have changed a lot since we used to live together in London!

Marie chats through her pregnancy and how shes finding it. She also gives her thoughts on pregnancy myths and whether they may be true...

We then discuss the hard year of her life she went through when she was in a toxic relationship. She found comfort and healing in poetry around this time and even wrote her own poetry book. The podcast then turns into sort of poetry reading as we read out some poems from her book and others. 

She breaks down the meanings of several poems she wrote, most based around the idea that love is not meant to be hard and if it is then it is not love.  'There is no such thing as love lost'.
