It's Prom 2019, and we're exploring the loss of virginity with 1999's American Pie and 2008's Blockers! Both films tread similar ground, yet both are firmly planted in their time period to provide quite the interesting comparisons. Prepare for some long tangents on this one! Both these films paved new ground for the Queer population in the 90s by being able to strike both comedic and dramatic tones with their colorful cast of characters, and we dive into why they've been able to stand the test of time. Before that, we'll talk about two new teen gay movies, Akron and Alex Strangelove, as well as the conflicting feelings of Queer Eye's treatment of toxic religion.
