Nic is a former retail architect turned architect of transformational experiences.
There really is no more motivational place to start than from rock bottom. To have everything you thought you knew, be stripped away to a grey barren canvas, and to start over with a completely fresh, unadulterated perspective on the infinite possibilities of life.
Like many men, he reached a point in life where his only satisfaction was found in the numbness of addiction. Unable to bear the pain of his existence, everything else, including his marriage suffered.
So he left it all behind and set out on a journey of healing and discovery. Guided by blind faith and a deep knowing that he has the power to create the life of his dreams, he relinquished control and logic and was pulled deep into the darkness of his blackest shadows and the pits of his own despair. Through silence, darkness, temples, ashrams, jungles, mountains and deserts, he began to discover that from the depths of his pain, would shine his light.
After a three and a half year journey across the globe, studying and facilitating the most transformative modalities he had ever experienced, (plant medicine, breath work, sacred intimacy and men’s work) his purpose and vision appeared with crystal clear clarity.
Using the most effective and transformational methodologies he has personally experienced, to help others peel back the layers of culturally sanctioned, socially permeated models of behavior and conditioning. To heal their relationship with themselves and with others. To help empower those yearning for clarity, confidence and connection, to rediscover the power of living on purpose, fully from their heart.

After retiring from the NFL in 2017, today’s guest donated his belongings, bought a van, and traveled the country for two years, seeking answers while placing his focus on self discovery and healing. Joe's desire to understand himself more fully and find deeper meaning and purpose in his life, led him down an alternative path which included sacred plant medicine, yoga, breathwork, men’s emotional leadership training, psychology, and more. Which radically shifted his life and deepened his understanding of what it means to be human.
Joe’s passions now include curating sacred space for other elite level athletes, entrepreneurs, and visionaries, who are on a path seeking deeper healing, growth, and connection. The Hart Collective, his movement, provides a safe space and container to curiously explore your individual and collective stories in order to affect and navigate lasting change within your experience of life and the world around you.
On the whole, Joe is an entrepreneur and investor and he’s the host of the Quantum Coffee podcast. Today, we’re going to discover the journey of a man who left it all behind to have less, see more, and inevitably be more. So sit tight, listen deeply, and again, find yourself in the story of another fascinating man.
