Faced with the first-ever Rose Ceremony in Canadian Paradise history, tensions were high as the men prepared to hand out their roses. With Alice no longer there, only one woman was at risk of leaving Paradise - a decision David ultimately made when he extended his rose to Lisa as a gesture of friendship and apology, sending Ana home.

But the tides soon turned when three new arrivals hit the beach over the course of the episode, shifting the power of the rose back to the ladies. All eyes were on Bachelor alumni Alex (The Bachelorette, Season 13, and Bachelor in Paradise Australia, Season 2), who arrived first with a date card in hand. It didn’t take long for Kit’s edgy look to catch his eye, before the two were out enjoying a romantic canoe ride on the water and enjoying a glass of champagne over stimulating conversation dockside.

Meanwhile, on the beach, Chris pulled Stacy aside to apologize for the cocktail party drama surrounding his unresolved feelings for Caitlin. Feeling like his second choice, Stacy made it clear that she was no longer interested in pursuing a romantic connection with Chris, sending him back to square one.

The next new camper to come ashore was Mike (The Bachelorette Canada, Season 1), who was quick to rekindle the brief real-life connection that he’d previously established with Stacy. The feeling was mutual and the two enjoyed a date fireside, chopping wood and roasting s’mores.

The final arrival was newcomer Josh, who put one of Paradise’s strongest connections to the test when he took Angela on a date, causing Brendan M. to re-evaluate his feelings for her, and where things stood with Stacy.

Finally, things came to a head in the Kamil-Caitlin-Vay triangle when Kamil made his unflattering opinion of Joey clear to Vay, causing Caitlin to question his motives and inciting Joey to confront him on the beach. Will Kamil’s unpredictable behaviour continue to wreak havoc in Paradise?
