In today's episode, we celebrate International Women's History Month by discussing the writing experiences of several iconic female authors who have been incredibly influential to the literary world.

This episode is all about the stories and myths that have stuck with us as a society through the generations. Stories that have become so integrated into our culture that we just keep retelling them.

In this episode, we'll cover every writer's biggest fear: writer's block. We'll define it, discuss famous authors who have struggled with it (and share some of their advice), and share our own experiences and methods of combatting it. 

For our tenth episode, we decided to explore something near and dear to our hearts: collaborative writing. We started this podcast together, so we thought it was only fitting to celebrate this mini-milestone with a discussion about how we write together. 

This episode is all about exploring what makes up a unique writing style. Genre, point of view, focus of the story, and other miscellaneous quirks all contribute to style, and we will identify and explain these key elements.

In this episode, we're going back to the roots of any good writer: reading. We'll reminisce over childhood favorites, discuss the classics we enjoy, and rave over our current favorites.

In this episode, we'll talk about romantic subplots. We'll discuss common tropes, good and bad examples in media, and how we incorporate romance into our own writing. 

In part two of this special episode, you'll hear about Madelyn's work-in-progress, "The Luminex." We'll get into how the story has evolved over the years, the main cast, and the worldbuilding. We hope you've enjoyed this special set of episodes!
