Liam Dalton finally picks a movie made before 1998 and, mercifully, he picks Goodfellas — which is basically the cinematic equivalent of bringing a loaded gun to a water balloon fight. The episode dives into why Scorsese’s gangster classic has become so deeply embedded in New York culture that you can quote half the movie without realizing you’re quoting it, from “Funny how?” to the fucking shinebox, while reminiscing about growing up with Goodfellas, The Godfather, Casino, and Carlito’s Way playing in the background like required childhood programming. They talk about the Copacabana tracking shot, Lorraine Bracco, Joe Pesci, the movie’s perfect blend of comedy and brutality, and somehow also wander into Leonardo DiCaprio, Star Wars, Irish family history, County Mayo, and the general insanity of being a New Yorker with strong opinions about movies. Jack Finnigan joins us to talk about Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey, because apparently watching a three-hour movie wasn’t enough—we also had to spend another 79 minutes arguing about it. We debate whether Nolan made a masterpiece or a very expensive excuse to yell about mythology, whether Matt Damon was actually the right guy to play Odysseus, why Anne Hathaway is basically the MVP, and why Tom Holland continues to exist despite our objections. In the end, we agree the movie looks incredible, Hades rules, Nolan knows how to make an absolutely massive movie, and Matt Damon is… fine. What starts as a movie intro immediately spirals into forgetting actors' names, debating whether every Black British actor is secretly Stormzy, attempting wildly inaccurate British accents, recounting Cam's Bermuda vacation, and somehow ending up in ancient Mesopotamia while confidently trying to locate Babylon on a modern map. 

Between roasting Bermuda's resort food, bullying Talal, and collectively fact-checking each other's nonsense in real time, they eventually remember they're supposed to be talking about The Gentlemen—which, according to Cam, absolutely rules, even if the conversation itself is anything but gentlemanly.
