This time we are looking at Robert Durst who famously landed himself in front of a judge following a documentary about his life.

This case is Bonkers and i have to say a huge thank you to our listener Sarah who requested we look into this case for her. In what has been one of the wildest investigations since the show began.

I am going it alone today with Heather still on maternity leave and Lisa otherwise engaged with work commitments but don't panic this case is nuts enough without any help!

So the series and the real case let lots of unanswered questions surrounding The Watcher. 

Its still an open case with no arrests and new people living in 657 Boulevard. Are we supposed to believe it all just stopped? 

Well we don't so we dug into what has happened since the house was bought by new owners in 2019 and we look at  potential suspect the police overlooked. 

In a slight departure from our usual way of working we asked you all to pick a TV show that was inspired by true events and we would then sort fact from fiction. 

The Netflix series The Watcher won these polls by a landslide and we ventured off to do some digging. I wasn't as bothered by this case as I have been quickly realising there is no murder and this is nothing more than a letter sending stalker....

Turns out the real events and the real letters are much more sinister than the TV series depicted and there is a lot more to the case than meets the eye. 

A real who done it with suspects everywhere I now understand why you chose this case and I think once you know the rue story you may look at the series differently. 

This episode we dive into what is usually a main episode topic the childhood of the killer. 

Ramirez had one of the worst childhoods imaginable, not for a second does this excuse his behaviour but I hope that this gives you all some insight into why he done the things he done.
