Meet Javier: From Tradesman to Music Prodigy 🎵
Introducing Javier Caldera Jr., an Idaho native with a unique journey that spans from the world of trades to the realm of music production. 🌟
By day, Javier works for a heating and cooling company, a trade he's been mastering for over eight years. But when the workday ends, he transitions into a different role – that of a dedicated father. 👨👦
Javier's world revolves around his charismatic four-year-old son, Jagg Cristiano Caldera, aka Jaggy Boo. Their time together is a mix of single-parent adventures and dreams of a bright future. Javier is determined to nurture his son's talents and has plans for piano classes, convinced that Jaggy is destined for something extraordinary. 🎹👨👦
Yet, when Javier isn't embracing fatherhood, he's passionately focused on his personal growth, self-care, and artistic pursuits. He's a man of many talents, and his artistic side has a remarkable story. 🎨🥁
Growing up in Burley, Idaho, music was always in the air for Javier. His father and uncles formed a Mexican band, performing at weddings and quinceañeras. Young Javier played the role of their trusty roadie and occasionally rocked the cowbell on stage. 🛎️🎶
The studio outside his home became his second playground, where he watched his relatives rehearse cover songs. His uncles shared their musical wisdom, and Javier's heart was set on percussion. The rhythmic flow of drumming and kick became his fascination. After school and chores, he'd head straight to the studio, immersing himself in drumming and trying to match the rhythms of the upcoming cover songs. 🥁🎵
In 2008, Javier and his cousin embarked on a creative journey, forming their crew known as "ooh boi." Their musical venture, spanning genres like dance electro, '90s Green Day punk rock, and hip-hop, yielded success in 2011 with their first album, "On the Rise." This indie masterpiece made its mark on the CW Network, with eight tracks featured on popular cable TV shows like "My Name is Earl," "Curb Your Enthusiasm," and "Remodel." The album's success was a testament to their talent, aided by top producer Rob Chiarelli, known for his work with music legends like Will Smith, Madonna, and Usher. 🎶📺
"Tramp Stamp," one of their tracks, even found its way into the big screen comedy "The Buddy Games," featuring Josh Duhamel, Dax Shepard, and Olivia Munn. Javier and "ooh boi" continue to create captivating music, exploring diverse sounds and their roots, including Spanish music. They're breaking boundaries and setting their sights on new horizons. 🌍🎶
