It’s a Cardinal kinda week, astrologically speaking. Cardinal, for those who don’t know already, is a “quality,” a way of expression – a style, so to speak. The term is derived from the start of a season, and so, its means initiation, beginnings, leadership, starting, generating. With five planets in Cardinal signs - Cancer, Capricorn and Aries – it’s the sorta week where you really wanna be at the helm, navigating your own ship and calling the shots.
After a bit of a humdrum week, this week slides in with a bang! It’s an unforgettable one, an
intense one, and a transformative one. The effects of this week may last for a few months to
come - so make your decisions wisely!
To kick things off, Mars turns Direct after two moons of Retrograde motion. The conflict and
hella aggression you’ve been feeling, experiencing and living? That’s set to finally start
smoothing out, and you’re ready to go solo and make big moves as this warrior planets
begins to become more focused.
Mars particularly hates Retrograde, by the way. This is why this week, and the weeks that
follow, are so impactful. It’s time to take action, and to go solo, if you will. There are also
very Scorpionic vibes this week, along with this Mars motion - the New Moon arrives in this
deep sign, as well as the ingress of Mercury here.
Both indicate that things are about to get wild in your world, and that perceptions and
energies become that much meatier and juicier. We’ll want to dive deep, and our minds turn
to possible drama – but potential healing, too. Secrets come up, and sometimes, the truth
hurts. But it also releases, right?
The New Moon plants the next several months’ seeds when it comes to change you want to
provoke in your life and offers opportunity to do a 180 degree turnaround. Scorpio is the
sign of trauma, sexuality and secrets, so these may be important themes that arise for
resolution over this time.
Be prepared for emotional drama, though, as the final Jupiter-Pluto conjunction reveals the
impact of the profound changes that have taken place this year – for good or for bad. You
may have an escalated sense of fear or a tendency to destroy without discipline. Slow down,
take stock and apply levelheadedness during this intense time!
For relationships, things can be both sexy and obsessive. Venus opposes Mars, reflecting a
love or relationship triangle of some kind. Forbidden fruit is delicious, but is it worth the
cost? With the Scorpio energy around, you’re more inclined to keep secrets that you really
shouldn’t.
She then casts a square to profound Pluto, opening up Pandora’s box in the relationship
department. This is not a bad thing though, and your bonds can strengthen as you open and
reveal yourself to each other.
The Sun’s gentle trine to Neptune in water signs helps to soften this powerful energy, helps
to bring forgiveness to jealousies and betrayals and tenderness to sharp words and
defensive attacks. With Mars and Pluto ruling the roost, this week could feel like a cosmic
