We’re going moshing mom! This week, I invited my former camper and audiophile, the insightful and wonderful Ben Lieberman to talk about all things music. On this episode, we reminisce about our time at camp, ben shows me his large record collection, he also explains how his 8th grade math teacher got him into Sublime, I learn a little bit about the history of ska, punk, and reggae, Ben shares what bands you should listen to if you want to get into punk, we rate our favorite mosh pits, I reveal why I don’t like Weezer anymore, Ben explains the insane challenge he did over his winter break, and somehow we get into a discussion about whether MGK and Miley Cyrus are rock stars. We’re back! After a slight pause, I decided to bring on a true BEST best friend, the incredible, and incomparable, filmmaker and actor, Dan Lalor. Me and Dan have a deep discussion about the final films we saw in theatres, the future of movie making, moviepass, and his experience working on a digital theatre performance. Then we talk about our favorite music videos, The Weeknd, and why Dan’s nickname in college was Dangerous Dan. Later, Dan tells us to screw the haters and reminds us that worst movies are meant to be watched with friends.

With great power comes another great week to make a new friend! This week, I invited a summer camp pal and famed snake killer Quinn Tassin to talk about Spiderman, superhero movies, and podcasts. Quinn tells me about why Spiderman is an extremely important superhero, how he’s getting ready to run summer camp IN PERSON, the beef between Martin Scorsese and Marvel, why superhero films are so dark, what the hell was up with Joker, what his dream podcast would be if he made one, how listening to an interview with Tom Cruise changed his life (but also made him realize Tom is not a great dude), Jimmy Fallon, Ladybird, watching the last live musical on earth, and later advice on letting go of your problems.
