“At the end of the day, a legitimate excuse and a bad excuse serve the same purpose: to justify failure and minimize the amount of shame we feel for not figuring out a way to overcome the obstacles in our way.” Rick Ross

There will always be really good reasons to postpone your dreams and procrastinate. But it still equals the same thing: failure to act.

Life gives many great excuses not to go into the blue ocean unknown, to leave your comfort zone, no matter how painful that place is, because it’s safe. We call this the RESISTANCE. How do we beat it? We all have the same 24 hours in the day. How do drummers we love that inspire us do it?

By turning the obstacle into the way forward. To navigate the busyness like you would a storm, always ask: ‘What’s the opportunity here?’

In the LTR DRUMMING METHOD we say IAO: Improvise, Adapt, Overcome. When your vision of the inner hero you want to step into becomes a must, we find a way.

1) Ruthlessly delete the unessential (People, events, tasks)
2) Plan ahead (‘Stay ahead of the river’)
3) Look for the ‘1% win windows’ (Which becomes a habit)
