If you spend any amount of time in the personal development world, or if you work with any kind of coach, you hear a lot about mindset blocks and limiting beliefs, and all of that jazz.

Sometimes that can feel dead overwhelming. I mean, where do we even start?

The key takeaways:

• On a very practical level, particularly if you are in business, your limiting beliefs or blocks will stop you from achieving the things that you want to achieve. And actually probably even more important than that they will keep you in patterns of behaviour that are quite miserable. They limit your choices. They limit the possibilities. It's like we're living our life or running our business by a set of rules. And they're a set of rules that we did not make for ourselves.
• It's usually a really good idea to follow the things that make you feel uncomfortable, the things you avoid doing. Those are usually a really good indicator that there's something there that needs further exploration.
• Go through all of the different aspects of your business. Look at your money, look at your content, look at your marketing, your visibility. Look at your planning and strategy. Look at how you manage your time. Look at your clients. What feels amazing? What doesn't? Take note. Those "ugh" feelings are the signposts for inner work.

The key takeaways: Content overwhelm is a very real monster, especially for those high-achieving perfectionist types *cough*. Here are three of my favourite tips for stripping things back and making your digital footprint feel more FUN:

1. Template everything. And when I say everything I mean EVERYTHING. Not just your visuals. Templates can do wonders for your written content workflow too. (Listen to the full episode for a couple of ways to create your own content templates.)
2. Block out your time and get specific with that time. Book out your content creation time in your calendar but don't stop there - assign specific tasks from your content workflow to your different time slots.
3. Make something sacred. Choose ONE piece of content that will become your non-negotiable every single week. Consider this the bare minimum that you'd be happy to publish (consistently).

Note to all: I am not yet a fully-fledged adult BUT I do think there's a certain level of "grown-up" required when you're the boss of things.

10 tips for better adulting:

1. Take responsibility for the way you're feeling and behaving.
2. Don't get complacent – keep the momentum going as you develop your brain and your business.
3. Set real goals and plans that line up with those goals.
4. Create all of the boundaries. Boundaries with yourself, with your clients, with your loved ones and with your working environment.
5. Put some thought into what you're feeding yourself. Is it fuelling your brain? Is it giving you the energy you need to stay focused?
6. Be intentional with your screen time.
7. Say "no" when you mean "no". Nobody wants to hear a resentful "yes".
8. Invest in some blue blocker glasses.
9. Remove yourself from toxic conversations.
10. Implement all of the magnificent things you already have access to before buying anything new.

Learn how to spend your time, energy and money on purpose.

The key takeaways:

• It's hard to be good at your business if you don't have a life.

• One of the things that is really important is for us to be intentional about the things that we let into our lives, whether that's the TV shows we watch, the friendships that we have, the Instagram accounts that we follow. All of those things affect us in ways that we don't necessarily immediately realise. When someone's Instagram account makes you feel less than, unfollow them. Instead, actively seek out the things that bring you joy or inspiration.

• We are worth looking nice just to look in the mirror. We are worth a nice meal that takes 30 seconds to plate. We are worth the bed that has been made that makes our whole room feel nicer. We don't just have to save those things for when other people are around. It makes us feel better, and when we feel better, we're better employees, we're better entrepreneurs, we're better partners.

• Ask for what you want!

• You are the only one who can decide to change your habit. If you are trying to change a habit out of obligation, or shame, or because you're trying to keep up with other people in your life, it's not going to work.

Fancy your own aligned community filled with lovely, lovely humans?In this episode, I'm chatting with tribe-building expert Julie Creffield about how you can do just that.

• People are people, whether they're online or offline. Community at its core is about having a group of people with a shared vision – a shared sense of ownership.
• Entrepreneurs often go about this the wrong way – they think that by creating space for a community it's going to happen. The tribe is not the Facebook group – that's simply the platform.
• There will always be fools who feel the need to comment… but often that backlash is what will attract the right people. (And remember – if you let everyone into your tribe, you let the idiots in too).
• A tribe is a two-way thing. You might be the leader, but they will inspire and challenge you as you go. Be open to that. Your community may not always be your "ideal customers" – they can still be valuable human beings to have in your network.
