Stress, anxiety and depression are completely misunderstood: we’re supposed to get them. But they are not supposed to be managed or medicated; as millions of people have already found out: that doesn’t work.
Mark Newey is an expert in practical neuro-science. For 17 years, he has been helping clients eliminate stress, anxiety and depression through the method he used to free himself of these conditions.
Learning to beat his own debilitating stress, anxiety and depression gave him the inspiration for his life’s work. Mark has helped nearly 3000 people beat stress anxiety and depression, as well as coping mechanisms like eating disorders, fears and phobias and addictions. Over the last 4 years, the number of young people Mark has seen has gone up ten-fold and has led him to work more closely with schools and to campaign for Mental Wellness Education to be included in the school curriculum.

As family and friends mourn the second student suicide in the wake of the school shooting last year at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, the deadliest high school shooting in United States history, our guest today, Nicoelle Cohen talks about her project of “Healing Hearts” to honor and remember her fellow MSD students and other victims of gun violence.
Nicoelle graduated Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School with the class of 1995. She is an artist and an alumna of Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY. As an artist, she had the urge to use her visual voice after the school shooting at MSD in Parkland and really wanted to do something to spread LOVE. On February 20, 2018 she posted a call on Facebook for handmade fabric hearts to help spread LOVE in a time of such deep sadness.
This is her legacy.
To learn more about the project or how you can get involved, we have provided links to visit and a video to watch.
