I’m interviewing Nirva LaFortune, who is my city council representative here in Providence, Rhode Island. Nirva is also my neighbor and my friend, and most excitingly, she is running for mayor of Providence--that election is one year from now, in 2022. She's giving us the inside scoop on how much civic participation by regular ole folks matters.
