"William and Kate are really nervous that whether Harry comes alone or with Meghan, there are going to be difficulties, and a great deal of planning is going on to try to reduce all the inevitable awkwardness and embarrassment - one plan being looked is to let the brothers appear in public for a short period to try to show they can at least be civil to each other," royal author Tom Quinn dished about the Wales' Harry anxiety.
A 'Royal Decision' About Meghan Markle Is Coming: Duchess of Sussex Is 'Treading a Very Dangerous Path' With the Monarchy
"Just as with the relationship with William, Harry's relationship with his father has been badly damaged by the publication of Spare and Harry and Meghan's various interviews – both William and Charles are always going to worry that they can't say anything privately and off the record to Harry without the real risk that he will go public on anything and everything," Quinn added.
King Charles Attends Easter Services Amid Difficult Cancer Treatment: 'I'm Doing My Best'
"Since Catherine's video was broadcast almost a week ago, there'd been lots of suggestions that William, with his wife being treated for cancer, should mend fences with his brother, that it's a great time for them to come back together," royal expert Richard Eden shared. "We wish health and healing for Kate and thefamily, and hope they are able to do so privately and in peace," the Duke and Duchess of Sussex shared to media outlets through their representative upon hearing of Kate's diagnosis. Welcome Home, Son: 'Forgiving' King Charles 'Feels Responsible' for Prince Harry's Troubles and Is Ready to Meet With Wayward Duke Again
Kate Middleton is currently battling cancer, and experts think the palace's reported decision not to inform Meghan Markle and Prince Harry of her condition before announcing it to the public shows where the duo stands with the royals.
Prince Wiliam is protecting Kate Middleton during her cancer battle, and an expert claimed the Prince of Wales wasn't receptive to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's supportive message after their yearslong feud. Tom Quinn shared that the Sussexes reached out to the Wales after learning about Kate's condition, but William gave "hardly the kind of warm informal response," adding the family "should make up and let bygones be bygones." "Telling them was a huge problem for the palace, because if they'd left Meghan and Harry in the dark until Kate's TV broadcast, there was a real risk the couple would have complained that once again the royal family was treating them badly." "Telling them shortly before theTV broadcast meant they couldn't complain about being ignored while at thesame time the palace would know there was less of a risk the couple might spill the beans before Kate's broadcast,'' Quinn added.
"William, I believe, has seen the value of Queen Camilla, especially at a time like this when she has been stalwart in supporting King Charles not only at home but also dramatically increasing the public engagements she has attended," royalexpert Ian Pelham Turner shared. The Prince of Wales' new workload also led royalcommentator Richard Kay to state: "All those close to Prince William acknowledge [that] he has never ducked a challenge, nor failed to face adversity as he so memorably demonstrated as a 15-year-old boy when the gaze of the world descended on him after the death of his mother, Princess Diana."
