Sat Nam & welcome to Your Daily Tune-In!
TODAY'S DEVOTIONAL
"It is from a state of compassion, of compassionate meditation, that the healing activity of God, within the being, flows." - Yogi Bhajan
TODAY'S PRACTICE
"Alternate nostril breathing is extremely helpful when we feel off-center but still must function in the everyday world. For instance, we may be scheduled for an important interview or business endeavor only to find ourselves nervous or irritable. This technique can help us calm down and be more effective in our communication.
When we breathe long and deep through alternating nostrils, the whole nervous system is soothed, calmed, and energized simultaneously. All that’s needed is 3–5 minutes of this pranayama and one's whole nervous system can be revitalized." -3HO

TODAY'S DEVOTIONAL
"Each individual is individual, and his and her happiness is defined by him and her. The happiness you feel is temporary. It will come like the sun and be gone by the night. Real happiness lies in that which never comes nor goes, but simply is." - Yogi Bhajan
TODAY'S PRACTICE
"The mudra in today's practice is a gesture of happiness, blessing, and prosperity, and it opens the flow of the Heart Center. Master the technique and experience the state it brings, then share it by creating beauty and peace.
This kriya is said to have been practiced by many wise spiritual leaders including Buddha and Christ. The story goes that the great Brahmin who taught Buddha this kriya found him nearly starved and unable to walk after his 40-day fast under the fig tree. The Brahmin fed him and he began eating slowly. When Buddha finally started smiling again, the Brahmin gave him this kriya to practice.
“Smiling Buddha Meditation is extremely effective in providing the means to elevate ourselves… It is a meditation for repairing and opening the heart center. When the heart is open you can only feel elevated and blissfully fulfilled.” – Sewa Singh" -3HO

"Breath of life is a privilege. When consciously you breathe, it gives you prosperity, it gives you projection, it gives you personality, because it adds to your aura and you expand. That’s why we call it pranayam." - Yogi Bhajan
TODAY'S PRACTICE
The four-part segmented breath stimulates the triple center, where the ida, pingala and shushmuna meet. It helps the absorption of oxygen into the lungs and purifies the blood. It forces the deposits of toxins out with the exhale 25 - 30 per cent more than usual. The pressure of the right knee on the liver helps to balance the liver and spleen. The balance of the hands stimulates the pancreas and regulates the triple system of the pancreas, adrenals, and kidneys. The heel sits between the sexual gland and the anus which stimulates a meridian point related to the sexual organs and their balance. This meditation is said to prevent heart attacks and is a very powerful way to live a long life.
