A number of years ago I would tell my clients that having a calm dog was ideal and that is the goal. But what I didn't realize then is the process of how we want to quiet the dog's mind down first in order to get to calmness.
There is a big difference between a quiet mind and a calm mind. Think of a 5 year old in school, you can tell them to be quiet if they act up. That may quiet them while they are sitting in their chair but it doesn't mean they are calm. But if you keep the mind quiet for a while then you calmness will come.
Would love to know what your opinion is on this subject. How do you achieve a quieter mind with your dog?
