No doubt, one of the most excruciatingly painful places to be stuck in,  is the graveyard of the past, dwelling on a setback you may not have any control over, or heartbreak you didn’t see coming…

I've felt like it’s pretty impossible to get out from being stuck in the past unless you have something inspiring in your life to focus on, and pour all your energy into..

If there is no vision for the future, and nothing to look forward to...The temptation will inevitably be to dwell on the past. 

Having something you’re looking forward to, something that brings new meaning and purpose to your life, I have found to be the most powerful way to move forward from the graveyard of yesterday…

To share with you a little of my own  backstory...

My greatest emotional outlet as a kid growing up was through dance. It was where I found my confidence and my identity. It was the one place all my anxiety and insecurities couldn’t reach me… Tune in to Listen Now.

Many years ago, a very dear friend of mine…with a lot of life experience had once shared w me before he passed away… “Jennifer be careful who you get involved with…Marry the right person and it will make life feel like heaven on earth even when you go thru the tough stuff, it just makes all the difference in the world….Marry the wrong person and you just don’t even know the hell you are walking into"…

In that hopeless state of mind, you feel in deep despair that God has turned his back on you.  You might be thinking He must either be mad or doesn’t care. It feels like He’s ignoring you or just overlooked you and you feel completely rejected, falling through the cracks… Any hope you held onto… You are wondering if it was all a figment of your imagination?  It’s been so long in the same cycle, you’ve done everything you could, stood as long as you could…Trying to believe something’s going to change…Something has to change, because the situation isn’t sustainable at all anymore. You’re hanging in there just because you happen to be really good at just surviving. You are tolerating what you really don’t want to be tolerating anymore, but here again …You’ve done everything you can within the scope of your control and you really just need God to show up.

Fear is settling in as your wondering... Will God show up?

My friend… When I was in a horribly deep, very dark pit…I cried out to God. An epiphany come over me, this illumination that came to me was undeniably God. It saved my life. 

The devil is a liar which means that dark, negative  narrative in your head~the one that spirals you down into a pit of despair…is actually YOUR GLEAMING INDICATION THAT THE OPPOSITE IS TRUE…
