In this week’s episode to kickstart 2025, we are joined by Yaz and her mindset coach Lauren. Every coach needs a coach and this week, we hear from two incredible experts as we head into the new year from sharing stories, setting intentions and having the best year yet, you need to listen to this!

Yaz and Lauren deep dive on the power of mindset and how different chapters from their past have shaped their present, how their futures will look and the decisions they make. In this week’s episode, Yaz is bringing all the festive vibes with her gingerbread Santa and talking all things navigating Christmas and the festive period. This time of year can be really difficult and challenging for a lot of people, especially when it comes to boundaries and alcohol.

Yaz shares how there can be a lot of pressure to party, socialise and go out drinking alcohol, even more so during this time of the year. The people you surround yourself with will have a huge impact on this. If you surround yourself with similar likeminded people who enjoy nice walks, coffees or pilates, then you might find yourself being able to move away from pressure as you can still socialise in environments where you feel comfortable.

Yaz shares how she tried to ignore how bad her relationship with alcohol was and there have been times where she has landed in her old environment and drinking out of panic or pressure of the environment. Slipping into old ways can be easier something but can often lead to a downward spiral and leave you beating yourself up again which Yaz shares her personal experience on this and how she plans to overcome this during the festive period and when travelling again in 2025.

In this week’s episode, we are joined by Yaz and her guest Charlotte from a cosy cabin in Christmas pyjamas. Charlotte is an inclusive hair extension specialist who specialises in curly hair and also teaches people how to do this and set up and run their own business successfully.

Charlotte shares with us all about her upbringing in an abusive household where she was exposed to difficult situations but also sees the positive of being surrounded by family and having a support system in other male figures when her own father wasn’t present. This gave her the safety and grounded her which has shaped her to be the strong independent woman she is today.

From working in Mayfair in salons on minimum wage doing 50+ hour weeks and dealing with toxic environments and racism trying to create a name for herself to being let go and mistreated, Charlotte really has been through it all. She set up her own salon and launched a brand, got burgled and had to restart with very little, but she never let the set backs she faced and overcame get in her way.

As someone who suffered with anxiety and depression, Charlotte shares how discovering and exploring her spiritual side, diving into manifestation and grounding herself has taken to where she is now; with an incredible salon, clients flying in from all over for her services, an online hair extension course platform and working as a leader and an expert in her field training people to be the best they can be in their business. She is a role model for many and a true inspiration.

Your business doesn’t stop and there’s always more to do and this is your reminder of the importance of boundaries, taking time off and embracing the down time.

In order to be your best self as a business owner, you need to take the time to spend with your family and friends throughout the year and especially during the festive season. Set yourself up for a good Christmas whether you’re at home or abroad, with family or friends, make it special for yourself. It’s time to stop and look after the little girl and your inner child by being creative and having fun.

Take the time now at the start of December, to communicate with your clients that you will be taking some down time over the festive period and remind them that they should too! Be kind to yourself by taking the time you need to be able to return as your best self to start 2025 on a high vibration.

When Yaz when doing her training to become a mindset coach and support women in the way she does today, everyone was telling her how to show up, market herself and present herself online. She decided to go against the blueprint that everyone else seemed to be following and do what felt right to her, be her authentic self.

Imposter syndrome, limiting beliefs and comparison are all things we experience, especially as online business owners and it’s important to know that this is normal.
