On this episode I chat with my new friend Brittney Jean! After being laid off from her tech sales job in 2017, Brittney picked up her mom's camera that was collecting dust, took a free class on how to use a camera manually, and began her photography business. 

During her corporate sales job, Brittney would grow her photography business part time, until she quit in 2020 to pursue her passion of helping women in service based businesses grow their business online through personal brand photography. 

Through fear, uncertainty, and the worst economic conditions, Brittney decided to not work against fear, but to work through fear to live life on her terms and become the boss of her life, time, and money! She now runs a six figure photography business helping professionals show up online to grow their impact and income.

Forgiveness doesn’t come naturally to anyone. Heck it didn’t come naturally for me, I didn’t even know it was the thing that was holding me back in my calling to ministry. I can say this though, the day I forgave is the day my life truly began!! 

In this episode I take a deep dive into sharing a small bit of my testimony to Faith that all had to do with forgiveness! Learn the impact that unforgiveness has on your brain, body and immune system plus learn practical ways to learn to begin the forgiveness process. 

Forgiveness is a way of life that Jesus calls us to live. Paul summed it up like this in Ephesians 4:31-32 where he wrote, “Get rid of all bitterness, rage, anger, harsh words, and slander, as well as all types of malicious behavior. Instead be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another as God through Christ has forgiven you.

Happy New Year! In this episode I reflect on lessons learned in 2022, some challenges I had to overcome and share how when faced with challenges the best way to move forward into a new year! 

One way to move forward into a new year, is leave some things behind in the past year. What do you need to leave behind in 2022? 

What to leave behind

1. Have a funeral and bury what didn’t go well for you! Relationships, career, businesses that didn't work out? Have a funeral for what you need to leave behind and say your goodbyes! It’s ok to mourn those things lost, but leave them behind and learn to move forward. 
2. Leave behind the negative self talk.
3. Leave behind the stress over things you can’t control. Have faith, trust God! 
4. Leave behind letting others dictate your happiness. You cannot make everyone happy!  
5. Being everything to everyone.
6. Having to be ready to start something new! You don't have to be ready to start something new, you just have to start and you can figure it out along the way! 

What does it look like if you go all in this year?  Ask yourself these questions:

1. What is the one thing I am letting go in 2023?
2. How can I improve my health this year?
3. Who can I serve this year?
4. How can I spend more time with God this year?
5. Who do I want to be at the end of 2023?
